| Happy the gang is all back together again! Any episode that talks about the "net" or hacking that includes Ed, I absolutely love. Hex being senile was such a curveball, i enjoyed this. |
| This episode demonstrates how much closer the crew has become. Jet's request for those guys to leave the old men alone because he has become Ed Chest's partner was admirable. He didn't care about the money; all he wanted was to make Ed happy. |

| @Hello_Im_Stoopit Yeah and it is too bs that a guy planned a revenge for 50 years. Like what is even the point of making a revenge plan that can run only 50 years into the future. Its too long. Also meh sentiments and some rando tracking jet to get payback only to join the remaining stoned guys on the nowhere land. |

| A good episode, but it could have been better. The first half of this episode was boring, but the second half was fun. I liked the place where Hex was staying. That kind of design always intrigues me, and I wish that the Bebop crew spent more time in the episode exploring that place. The hippies were a nice touch and were fun to see ๐คฃ Sad to see that Hex died in the end though ๐ข |
Oh god those three old guys again totally didn't expect to see in such a place. Remembered the episode title but not the plot for it, even if from the previews the memory of a chess game suddenly returned and in perfect Cowboy Bebop style, it was bittersweet considering Ed won't be able to have a revenge game against the guy. Not the best, but still as good as expected at this point. |

| This anime is so much more impressive with the remaster, it never came off this well in the day. It’s also hella sad too, the Japanese probably didn’t like it because it was so heavy. For westerners they don’t get the lost decade nostalgia with the bubble economy and all that, it must’ve seemed like a cruel joke back home though. It’s been more successful with the world, you can’t discount it, but it makes you feel heavy waves of loss. The ending song is full of heartbreak. But this might be a perfect series in order, the narrative detours with Spike’s past hit. It feels like they’re all doomed and searching for something. It’s kind of like noir but space cowboy noir, so it’s a little more zippy. Can’t see Spike as anything but tragic though, so the tragedy part pulls it in a whole new direction. It’s weird he’s so stuck on Julia. Is it cuckoldry? Being betrayed by his best friend and the girl he loves? It all seems kind of basic. The best part is the vignettes. I always watched this out of order in the day but I much more appreciate it in its natural run order. |
