Haven't you heard?

"With power comes responsibility."

They can have whatever they want, but if they're going to abuse the power of their popularity to attack politics, then they're assholes. Simple as that.

Also, please stop responding to my messages from now on. The outrageous lack of intelligence in your posts has been cancerous for the past few months I've interacted with you.

@DateYutaka these people are simply against freedom of speech it's pretty obvious when he said non-politicians who speak about politics should be jailed.

If I wanna be an actor/singer/artist or whatever and speak my mind about politics I damn well should have the right to.

That's the principle of liberty I personally stand for.

i mean that i think it would've been better for her to say what you said "we need to stop bigotry, violence only breeds more violence, etc"because when she says "we need to stop this man and watch him like a hawk for every little thing he does" it's not really about standing up to someone, which a lot of people already have; it has a far smaller effect, then if she had said "we need to stop the racism, against all races, stop the violence, stop the hate, etc" which is a message to unite people.

trump does not have complete power over making laws. as incompetent as he seems, he's not gonna nuke countries, he's not gonna lock up gays, he's not gonna deport anyone, except maybe muslims.
i understand hating him, i really do, but we are far better off as a country with an asshole in charge, than a corrupt, delusional, criminal psychopath in hilary and all the corruption she brings with the democratic party in office.
people whine about the liberal elite cause they need to be called out when they do ignorant things like this.

no, im pretty sure pushing the agenda that trump is racist, and that his supporters are white supremacists, and that all white people are to blame for him winning, etc.
is fear mongering, and pushing people to be racist, and pushing people to act like assholes to others simply cause of who they voted for; that's fear mongering too.

and please, i'd like to hear what you think are the real issues in this country.

no... i'm pretty sure conservatives know more about politics than your average liberal denizen of hollywood. not from fox news, or breitbart which i doubt they read, but from common sense.

But she did basically say that? She's saying that we elected a man who normalized racism, bigotry, hatred etc. I don't see how she said otherwise. I don't see how it's lame or warrants criticism at her for criticizing the president-elect, she can say what she wants. Just because the media gives him shit doesn't mean no one else shouldn't. The man should be held accountable for everything he says and does.

And yes, hatred, violence and racism towards anyone regardless of race, gender and sexuality is messed up and awful. But criticizing the man who has been a huge influence on those things is warranted. Hate crimes and horror stories of minority children in schools being harassed and mocked have been steadily rising since the day he won.

and please, i'd like to hear what you think are the real issues in this country.

Rising racial tensions

Police officers murdering people for mere traffic violations, or for just no reason other than being black.

income inequality

a joke of a public educational system that does not prepare students, where schools only get funding through good test scores, forcing teachers to spend their curriculum preparing for tests and not actually teaching them things they should be taught.

rising college tuition costs, forcing millions of young adults to go into thousands and thousands of dollars of debt

mass shootings and an obsessive gun culture, there is no other country in the world that puts up with mass shootings on a daily basis like we do.

out of control healthcare costs

a war on drugs that's done nothing but drain our resources and attack minority neighborhoods.

leaders in power who deny that climate change is a real thing
Those are what I can think of off the top of my head

im saying if she hadn't specified one person, it would've been better.
do you really think it's better that she give a speech on the next president, instead of calling attention to the kidnapping and torture of a disabled person, by people who don't like trump? and no, not really. the only hate crime i've seen so far is the one where that one white disabled guy got beat up and tortured by three blacks for like almost two days, with them yelling "fuck white people, fuck trump" and then making the victim say the same. when you have an opportunity as a celebrity with influence on people; and instead of using that influence to speak out against racism and speak out against attacking people based on their political views, you use it as a chance to virtue signal cause hating trump is the cool thing to do, you look like the biggest idiot in the room. which is hard to do cause hollywood is filled with them.

>rising racial tensions
as i already said, meryl had the chance to speak of this and didn't. or rather, she didn't care cause it doesn't present her another oppurtinity to virtue signal.

>police murdering blacks
do you mean actual people who were murdered even though they weren't breaking any law and being compliant? or when you say that do you mean michael brown who assaulted the clerk of a store+ robbed it, then fought the police officer for his gun. or tony robinson who assaulted a police officer and tried to push him down some stairs?

>income inequality
people are rich and people are poor, this is how it is in every country, im not sure what we could really do to solve this.

>awful educational system
yeah the department of education is retarded and honestly, shouldn't even be reformed, just close it down and make a new one

>rising college costs
again im not sure what we could really do to stop this
id like to see some marches and protests for this though

>out of control healthcare costs
id blame this on obama, 8 years of office and did nothing to solve this problem

>war on drugs that drains resources and attacks minority communities
but you see the latter started because of the clintons and their terrible laws of the 90's
so you want them to run the office again?
the war on drugs is awful yeah, and too many people are in jail for too long cause of this.

Oh maybe, maybe it's the clothes we wear
The tasteless bracelets and the dye in our hair
Or maybe, maybe it's our nowhere towns or our nothing places
But we're trash, you and me
We're the litter on the breeze
We're the lovers on the streets
Just trash, me and you
It's in everything we do
It's in everything we do
