from where they stopped (episode 17) like they did with Kuroshitsuji.
If they do that (which is most likely), they'll probably start after 15. While episode 16 was partly canon, they did add a lot of filler to it (the sword cracking, the black smith, the battle with the temple statues), and the only thing I remember of episode 17 being canon is the Order's decision that Rin has six months to past the Exorcist exam or be executed. If they do continue it after either 16 or 17, it should be interesting to see how they ignore the filler/alterations they did before.
Personally, I'd prefer it to be a remake also. The anime diverged in the very first episode (Rin didn't get to his job interview, no major church battle in the manga), and added a few filler episodes here and there (episode 6 and 11). And the episodes that were canon were altered somewhat (Ex. In the manga, Mephisto is the one to put a stop to Rin's rampage while in the anime it was simply Shiemi hugging him.).
Still, happy about the news. I'm hoping it follows more closely to the manga and that it doesn't dumb down the characters this time. I wonder though, how are they going to play the Kraken mission if they adapt it. They already had the Kraken in the filler episode 11.

I hope they use epic bands like Uverworld and Rookiez iz punked for the OSTs again. Their OP and ED were too amazing. I still listen to them to this day and get all hyped. I'm definitely gonna watch this. Please do a great job
I hope it has a good soundtrack. I loved the 2 OPs they had (Core Pride and In My World), didn't care so much for the EDs though. Take Off was okay, but I never liked the 2 ED.
(Note: For those who haven't read the manga yet and is looking to get into it, The Training Camp arc finished on chapter 15 in the manga. The Impure King arc starts on chapter 16 and ends on chapter 37. However, I highly recommend you start from the beginning since the anime diverged in episode 1 and altered the episodes that were canon.) |
