I was kind of referring to OkarinPriest's post as well where he said Saber was getting too much attention. But maybe she's getting the wrong kind of attention (or treatment) instead, and I don't think she necessarily gets too much screentime considering we'll have to do without Fate and HF is laughable for any development of her character. |

In UBW you can see how heavily she's able to resist such betrayal and it goes to showcase just how strong the shadow is at corrupting, and she still manages to seemingly say things that make it seem like she's not under complete control... And the final scene is pretty nice as well. I'd certainly say that she plays a larger role in H/F than in UBW, but I realize that that's not saying much. One thing that happens in H/F is that the holy grail's contents and what Kiritsugu did and why get explained and I feel like that's pretty important for her character development... even if she herself is not around. Perhaps character development is not the correct word. |

She gave herself to the evil because she herself decided that her fate was sealed on that hill. In UBW, she gets some development as well. Some. She comes to realise that she shouldn't regret, after seeing Shirou's and Archer's battle. I can't say she has the same resolution in Fate as in UBW tho. In Fate, she learns to accept her rule as King(which happened in UBW aswell) and she returned back to her old self. She died as Arturia. In UBW, however, she dies as a King that accepts her past and mistakes. Imo.
