| Yamada and Mayama's relationship is bitter-sweet, I loved that dialogue dang |
| First of all not liking chocolate & mint is goddamn blasphemy, can't say the same for pumpkin I mean at least roast it in an oven as microwaved pumpkin just sound nasty, but chocolate & mint are amazing and I have never understood in comparison to toothpaste… In other news Mayama has turned into a stalker and not realised it, Morita continues to be the most observant person on the show yet only used these powers for his own amusement more often than not, and Yamada is stuck in a horrible place in life that is extremely hard to move on from, especially when the reason is still a regular appearance. Takamoto is still very much our lense for viewing the happenings in the show so far, he still hasn’t really done much as the focus on on everyone else so far and while he thankfully isn't devoid of personality still my least favorite character. Also no insert song again but thanking quite enjoying the overall OST so far. |

| Reading the manga, and staying just a couple of chapters ahead of the anime, allows for a very different experience. The anime is so subtle in so many ways, carrying such a heavy emotional weight in very simple scenes. Episode 8, ending with Hagu picking up the mug that will lead to her discovery of the carved wooden brooch...my heart broke and my spirit wept for the significance of this small action. Never has such an emotionally painful anime generated such an urgent need to keep going to the next episode. |
