What is typically considered a "good" number for OSTs? Just so I have something of a benchmark...

Great would be SnK with 64K. KlK, same composer Sawano Hiroyuki, 13K still quite good.

I'd say an OST that gets over 1000 is probably doing pretty well. They likely aren't that popular. Some don't rank at all so even 447 is better than some like Nobunagun I couldn't find anywhere so it must have sold under 300 copies, maybe under 200.

Well, it seems like something that mostly people who are particularly enthusiastic about music would want to get, so I can understand why it might be less than disc sales. But that SnK number is actually greater than the average of its volume sales isn't it? So more people bought the OST than the number that have bought every disc? So I guess not everyone who buys the OST buys all the discs? Have you ever done that?

It is very good OST, deserved far more sales but hey, it's not AoT so no hype :(

Thanks for the info.

SnK's OST is mostly rock songs with lyrics in Japanese, English and German (sort of), it is not your typical OST which is mostly instrumental. More of a rock opera OST.

Edit: yes, I have bought the OST but no BDs for some series. True for Noragami so far... And SnK, bought OP, ED and OST CDs but o BDs/DVDs.

And just like like last season, Tesagura! suddenly gets a boost to the top 100(currently 1# out of all winter anime).

Tesagura! has 8 out of its 8 episodes in the top 10 for the Winter 2014 anime on NicoNico.

The estimates for next week's releases.
link

Its a rather slow week, but some rather big releases, The Anohana movie, Arpeggio v3 and the K-on! BD-box

Since I never posted the estimates before of these 2 autumn anime, I posted them today.
link
Not that interesting though, only Gundam Build Fighters and Miss monochrome.

Anohana Movie, I saw it in the theatre, enjoyed it but wasn't sure my heart could take seeing it again... it had been long enough since I'd seen the TV series that I survived...

Not interesting? Miss Monochrome! Forever 17! Fun and silly at the same time that there is a black and white disc released on the same day with half the episodes each and half the OST each. Nice way to fleece me out of ¥10000 on the same day for 56 minutes of anime...

I didn't really find it that interesting because its rather low(even by 3min short standards).

It really grew on me. I did a rewatch of all the episodes in a row and just loved it. And I have to have Endless 17 and some of the OST tracks and the full length Poker Face video. I buy a fair number of shorts, and shall treasure this one as well.

rederoin has listed it below, it should have results out this coming week, they might look something like these Stalker ESTIMATES:

Yeah I guess it's looking like just under 4k? I guess I was wondering if anyone had a more recent estimate. I mean, that's a pretty recent estimate but maybe I was being greedy/impatient hoping for an estimate from today or something. Can it still be looked up on stalker? Although I'm not sure I could find it even if it can be lol.

Anyways, I hope it gets to almost 4k if not higher. =)

You need to use the search function as the main stalker page only lists v1s and the top 100. Here is a page you can refresh for all volumes matching Nagi no Asukara:
http://www27392u.sakura.ne.jp/index2.cgi?smd=title&tn=%93%E2%82%CC%82%A0%82%B7%82%A9%82%E7

And that nearly 4K assumes that DVDs will rank which, in a week as full as this one, is not guaranteed.

The estimate was from 2/26, and the disc released on 2/26. So the 2/26 estimate would have been the final one. Stalker stops adding points on release day.

Oh. I didn't know that lol. For some reason I thought someone (might have been you lol) said Stalker was created in such a way that it accounts/compensates for bumps in sales including the week of release and I guess I may have misinterpreted that to mean it also takes into account sales slightly after the release date too. Perhaps that person meant any bump a week before the release would be taken into account in which case I may have just misinterpreted what was meant by the "week of release".

I was curious about the v2(/3) drops for series with even tickets(and super Sonico), so I looked them up on stalker.

Super Sonico has a huge drop, of over 80%+, aside from that the female orientated series have the biggest event ticket drops.

D-Frag! is an example which didn't add イベント to the volume title unfortunately. For that one you have to click into the item in Amazon but even that isn't perfect. Sometimes they don't have it listed there either and you have to look on the actual show page, especially if it is very recent. But D-Frag! is the only other one I can think of at the moment.

Sadly, D-Frag! doesn't have very far to drop... Saito Chiwa and Kana Hanazawa at the event or not I wonder? I know Kana sometimes doesn't attend events which is too bad.

Bonus CD and 80 page anthology with volume 1 too so good bonuses for D-Frag! Not doing much though. I'm not buying it myself but I do enjoy the show. Not rewatchable enough for me but first time through it is quite funny.

Yeah it might not be as funny the second time through, but heck the first time through it's pretty darn funny. And Shizuka Itou...it's like the return of Morishima Haruka (Amagami SS)...how can you not like that voice!?

Anyways sucks if the sales are low...Maybe they should have included a copy of the Scramble for Porn Mags in Space game with volume 1....

to be honest, as long as WCW has decent sales I think I'll be happy...

though it's a bit sad for Noragami, I was starting to enjoy the show thanks to the last two episodes :/

oh well, the manga is doing good so is not that bad I suppose

Noragami's drop really saddens me. It's such a great manga and anime. And it gets really good, I mean, even better later.

I hope the good manga sales are enough for Kodansha to give it a second season.

Does anyone know how much of a boost Chihayafuru got from it's first season?
