| It's fine if people want to have their illusions, but I talked to a group of girls earlier about animes with boy love and they started blabbering about how Death note, Free and Naruto are boy love animes. Then as soon as I stated that they weren't and had like no gay vibes at all they got incredibly angry with me. I'm a huge fan of boy love, but Death note, Free, and Naruto had like no gay vibes what so ever. In death note weather people want to believe it or not they were literally just nice to each other to take each other down. Plus even if their was feelings between them it did not go past the level of friendship. Naruto and Sasuke kisses were literally on accident and it was meant for a joke, I mean how can anybody seriously take them as a genuine boy love couple. Also in Free I fail to see how hot "naked" guys makes it a yaoi. It just irks me when crazy fans try to point out every gay moment in a anime and then label the WHOLE anime as boy love. | In the case of things like Death Note, where it's made blatantly clear that Light and L are enemies from the start then yes, I do find it rather annoying when fangirls completely ignore the plot and storyline in favour of making everyone gay. In the case of things like Free! however, where yaoi is teased all the time it doesn't bother me nearly as much. It's also annoying when guys complain about yaoi and fujoshi as if there isn't a lifetime supply of ecchi/hentai doujin and whatnot for every popular female character out there. |
