| Episode started awesome. Adhjzsvghzj Kamina and Yoko kiss. Later "mecha war". When Kamina Got injuries and wasn't answering I was scared and shocked. But he was alive ☆*:.｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆ But unfortanetely, he died. ( ಥـْـِـِـِـْಥ) I hope he will return in magical way. |

| Haha, I have to say this show has done nothing for me so far. Just a chaotic mess. I hadn't checked an episode for a few weeks until I watched this one - this always happens with me with turning point episodes for animes! I obviously can't say which others cause it'll spoil but lol! Can't believe it happened again. I cared so little for this show, and for Kamina I can only say my reaction was pure elation that this show was gonna take a turn and will probably start becoming as awesome as everybody says it is. Yay! |
| I kinda suspected that something might happen to Kamina, since Simon is the MC after all. If Kamina never left the picture, Simon would not be able to man up and step up. Having said that, RIP awesome character. |

| So this is GAR, eh? That was an impressive emotional tug. I didn't think I was very invested in the characters, but that last scene still affected me a bit. In light of that, and in light of the guts it takes to kill off the series' deuteragonist (even if he was stinting character growth for Simon), I'll lay off on my other criticisms for now. This was definitely the best episode so far. I was actually liking the potential romance between Yoko and Kamina. The fact that Kamina was spilling out blood mid-battle also passed by me without raising much alarm. I got too used to ignoring the death flags because of how over-the-top the recoveries usually are, so that's a credit to the writer. Hopefully this will get better going forward. The show certainly has more potential as of this episode. |

Kamina's scream when he was stabbed in the back...also...right in the feels. his death had not been spoiled for me, and I downloaded fansubs that don't have the name of the episode in the title. also, I don't watch the next episode previews. so...this was shocking for me. the episode itself was done beautifully, though. not showing the title until after Kamina says, "Later, Buddy." also, letting him go out with a bang...taking out one of the four generals with his very last reserve of fighting spirit. ...the title of the topic says it best. Never forget. |
| This was the first anime I have ever watched but my god when I saw this episode for the first time, it hit me hard. Really hard...One of the most epic episodes in anime history for sure. 1,000,000,000/10 |
| Just finished this episode... damn... I really wish I wasn't spoiled. Stupid bitch face in Akame ga kill episode 8 "omg if you haven't watch gurren laggan yet LOL who hasn't watched it yet" ..such a dick spoiling everything. Just when I was getting into this show. anyway I'm spoiler free now. Now to sit back and enjoy this show for the series of plot twists it will be. |

| That was so sad I almost cried. RIP Kamina. It makes even more sad that Yoko and Kamina's relationship was just starting and now he is dead. He was such an amazing character that I added him to my favorite character list. |

| Wow, that was a brilliant episode. Kamina was by far my favorite character though, so we'll have to see how the show is without him. Poor Simon and Yoko. I thought he died, then thought he would stay alive, but nope. He was an awesome character, very driven, very funny, definitely someone Simon should look up to. I hope Simon ends up like him or inherits some of his lines, ie "Who the hell do you think I am?!?" At least he went out in true Kamina fashion with quite the bang. And seeing the sketch of him where he smiles right before he died hurt a bit. RIP, Kamina. |

| I knew that kiss was a death flag! Also when Kamina said that he'd repay Yoko ten times too. It was kinda obvious but I still didn't expect it. Time slowed down for me. I cannot believe that Kamina died. At only episode 8! That's early! Fuck! I really liked Kamina!The show goes up to episode 27! Can't wait to see how far it goes. Also it looks like a new character shows up. I wonder what Yoko is thinking now. HOw is the show going to continue with Kamina?! I think Kamina is going to become a martyr. "Later, buddy..." Amazing episode. |
| good episode, definitely, although I can't say I actually felt sad at his death itself. he was annoying me most of the time and he was just stopping simon from growing, always being there to cheer him up/make him act or whatever, and with him around simon would never grow to be the amazing character he is later on. and wether you guys like it or not i kinda felt glad he was no longer there. i did kinda feel sad but it was more for yoko, simon and the rest of people who mourned him |
