Love his development. Can't say the same for Suzuno though, i dunno why I just couldn't completely buy into her turn around. She already knew Maou said nice things and was a nice guy. Seeing the light just because he was driven to go up and save Chiho even though he was powerless just doesn't sit well with me, especially after she basically watched Emi get tortured. Her conflicts definitely aren't as resolved as Lucifer's though, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

It wasn't what Maou said, Suzuno went into the fight hoping that Maou would be strong enough to beat her, first so that he could defeat the angel, but also because Suzuno wanted someone to beat her up because she hated what she had become but didn't think she could change. As Maou said, that was why Sizuno let Chiho call Maou. Of course Suzuno was conflicted, even more so then Emi, she sacrificed her soul to defeat Maou (as an assassination she killed her fellow humans, Emi's fight was cleaner), so it was harder for her to accept that the Church could have been evil.

Of course a large part of her conversion was that she idolizes Emi, and having Emi stand against her caused her to doubt. Maou's actions also helped. He wanted to save humans, the angels wanted to experiment on humans. A bit slower than Emi, Suzuno has figured out something wasn't right about the war they fought. Emi would rather die than to betray the hero she is, Suzuno is beginning to understand that.

As for the question about angels. Angels are beyond good and evil. This doesn't make them amoral per se, but they don't think about what they do, they just naturally do it. Of course in western religions angels are good (in that they represent a good god), however in Japan "god" is just another power that can be corrupted.

This episode was so awsome!!! Loved the part where Maou just beat the crap out of that perverted angel.

Chi-chan also got a power up! xD

The part where Ashiya appears after the entire thing ended made me smirk like crazy C:

I can't believe next week's episode is gonna be the last. Season 2 plz?

Unlike Maou, Emi hasn't discovered a means of replacing her "sacred power" (I think it will later be shown that hope powers her). The drinks only partially restore her. Unfortunately the only thing she is capable of manifesting is the "sacred sword", the Angel was sent precisely because he could counter it. Emi has other items she can manifest if she had the power.

I lol'd so hard in this entire episode,
all those comedy, fanservice, and action executed flawlessly....
white fox, you did it again,

well, it's not as good as episode 5, but still superb....
best anime of this season, 10/10 for this episode

and now that luci has admitted that the "real" heaven is in the maou stronghold....
yes, we are NEET and we proud...

This episode was awesome. Since he usually does not have his powers when he does its epic. There was some funny parts as well. This turned out to be a great anime, sadly there is only one more episode.

Emi would rather die than to betray the hero she is, Suzuno is beginning to understand that.

Very good points. Her deep conflict with herself and her role with the church, and with Maou and Emi do make clear just how unclear her true intentions are. And it does especially shine light on her feelings of being betrayed by Emi causing her not to react the same to her being tortured as she might have a day before.

But even with her conflicting thoughts leading her to let Chiho call him, she was still resolved to stop him at the time. Even if she subconsciously did want him to beat her, she probably hadn't thought about what would happen if she overwhelmed him and was faced with the choice to finish him off. So I'd say his words and resolve to reach Chiho, even powerless, were the bump that turned the table around for her.

Since his actions were so important there, I think I just wish the scale of what he did to help change her frame of mind would have been bigger, or maybe just different than what we already know about him.

The anime is based on the light novel and I believe they only animated up to 2 volumes, currently there are 8 volumes.

Now I understand why Ashiya keep having stomach ache when he consumes alot since the food contains sacred power lol. It feels like Maou didn't go all out against the Heroes in the first episode from watching this :/

Balance of comedy and action made this show enjoyable. The preview didn't look like anything special for the last episode though. I wonder if there's more material for another season.

This is the best episode of this series hands down. I love Emi on this episode. So much comedy. You expect Maou to make a "hero is here to save the day" appearance but he went up the stairs lmfao. Olba was more useless than the most useless of the good guys, Lucifer. Maou pose lmfao. Maou underwear, gets his undershirt ripped off but not his undershorts

More Chiho

Next episode will be last :[ I feel sad.
Also after this episode, I am starting to like all of the girls. I used to not like Suzuno and just meh about Emi.

If this was an H anime, Maou would be like "You can destroy my underwear, but what is under is diamond hard, bwahaha" *crush* Emilia kicks Maou's family jewels.

On the contrary, if Olba hadn't escaped, regrouped with Lucifer, stolen Emi's potions, and performed the ceremony, Maou wouldn't have won that fight.

We finally hit the peak of the series this episode. It was nice that there was so much comedy despite the battle being a final boss fight for the season. I suppose the show stays loyal to its plethora of ludicrous moments.

As I had expected, Lucifer ends up beating Olba up. The highlight for me was seeing Suzuno's very cute embarrassed expression as her attacks end up taking Maou's shirt off (that underwear is completely overpowered).

Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

I think the Sadao Maou eventually fall in love with Emi Yusa or Emi Yusa eventually fall in love with Sadao Maou.

PS: The condition for Emi Yusa fall in love with him (Sadao Maou) is she can drop her prejudice about Sadao Maou.
