This seems like they saw blood + getting popular and was like hey don’t we have the license to some killer little girls. Yeah we got kite. Oh well make sure you throw a monster in there somehow. Like everything from the washed out colors , to uninspired animation style is just blah. This is so jarring to watch right after the first kite ova. It tries to follow the first kite beat by beat for some reason while also throwing in its terrible space monster plot. It’s awful. There is 3 cool action scenes. That’s definitely not worth an 8 or 10 like people are giving it in here. Watch the scenes in a YouTube compilation and move on.

I realize you made this 8.5 years ago and will probably never read this, but the OVA implies that Sawa and Oburi were just fake names. Sawa's real name is Manatsu Mukai and Oburi's real name is Rin Gaga.

This looked really good and i actually kind of enjoy monika's characterization but this lacked any real direction let alone the stellar action sequences of the first, I also dont know how much i dislike the shift towards a monster sci fi over the gritty assassin vibe of the original and how much of it was just nothing really was done with it in this one. I feel like this was a first episode of a series that doesnt exist.
