What I normally do is watch one or two series as they air and then I marathon other shows over the weekend.

I tend to marathon, and while shows are currently airing a catch up on what I need to.

I've always wanted to ask other people who watch anime. When it comes to anime that is currently airing, do you guys prefer watching it each week as it airs, or do you wait the 3 months ( for 12-14 eps) or the 6 months (22-26 eps) until it finished airing and watch it all in one go? I know there's some anime you would prefer waiting a while in between, but I cant stand waiting a week to watch another episode when that last one ended in a cliffhanger, or because i simply liked it alot and wanted to keep watching it. Which do you guy's prefer?

I have no time for marathons; watching things a little at a time feels like it takes less time than it actually does. Building suspense each week is a pretty cool sensation, and it's fun to anticipate the next episode with all of you wonderful people. Also, watching different anime in one season provides some variety.

Lately I've been watching stuff as it airs. It's fun but sometimes I wish I would have just waited.
I like marathoning it in one go, even 26ep series I'll try to finish at once. Watching one episode per week (or just an ep or 2 at a time if it's out already) makes them feel so distant or I just forget what even happened over the last couple weeks.

Optimally I'd wait until the season is over before watching, or even better, until the BD is released.

I'll only watch something that's airing if it's something I really really want to watch otherwise I'll usually wait for it to finish first

I prefer marathoning over airing, but I will watch an anime that is airing if it interests me.

I do love the higher quality releases for older anime that have already finished airing when I marathon. Unfortunately I usually don't have the patience to wait on anime that I have a current interest in so I watch as they air. Nevertheless I still wait for better quality subs and 720/1080 releases. I recently downloaded/watched the blue ray version of spice and wolf and I'm glad I marathoned it instead of watching it when it was still airing. The experience is different and there's a better sense of continuity :P

I like both. I do watch a lot of shows weekly though, and the whole waiting in anticipation thing is kinda fun. I don't think I would have it any other way, so yeah, a mix of both for me.

I do a mix of both, but I prefer watching as show as it airs. Like others have mentioned, I do enjoy the suspense of waiting to see what happens next week.

Usually marathoning works the best for me especially when I want the entire picture aside from waiting week on and week off for more cliffhangers.

I prefer marathoning since you can watch it all of the episodes w/o waiting for the next one to release

Same as you, but everytime i watch an anime currently airing, i give up after few episodes even if it's very enjoyable.

I almost exclusively marathon anime. I'm way to impatient to wait for an episode every week. - It isn't a problem for me, as I haven't watched a lot of anime, so a lot of finished anime is awaiting me.
Feel free to recommend me good romance (BL is fine!) or slices-of-life anime I haven't seen yet!
