I actually tried that, but it's not possible. Anyway, the bookstore just doesn't have right suppliers and my boss isn't interested in making new contracts for just sad little me.

Hiya all ^_^

I'm 24 years old and my name is Markus. I'm from Finland and a big IT-geek. I live in Pori and I'm studying in Satakunta University of Applied Science.

I've been watching anime since 2001 or 2002 and I'm one of the oldest members in MAL, I was one the first seven users in here. Stopped my moderator job here around january 2006 due to my military service :)

Mostly I like watching shounen-anime when I'm tired and don't really have to concentrate that much, but also many series with deep storylines are awesome (Steins;Gate for example). Most of the anime I've seen I have read in manga, and with few exceptions manga has been better in my opinion.
Though haven't started my mangalist and likely wont, because it would be so similiar to my animelist.

I'm a huge fan of older RPG games like Final Fantasy and Wheel of Time books.
Been watching Doctor Who for the first time now and really loving it, haven't really been a fan of other scifiseries (Star Trek, Stargate, Babylon 5 and so on).

I'm one of the three main admins in http://pingtimeout.net - an enterprise level server we host for our hobby and to learn more about IT and offer services for our friends.

Hmmh... run out of stuff to say... If you want, ask question(s) and I'll answer ^_^

EDIT: Oh yeah, why so silent in IRC :( Joined the #MAL.20+ channel in Rizon but no-one there. I dare you all to use IRC! :D

Too bad you don't want to start making your manga list. So many people don't have a manga list or only a very small one and since I prefer manga, I like comparing manga lists more. But at least you are reading them :D

Funny how MAL looked back then, I've seen a lot of old versions, the red and black ones were cool somehow :D But I prefer the current look.

Hi everyone ^_^ just got accepted into the group today :)

I'm Su and I'm from the UK. I'm 23 and currently doing a research masters degree in Latin and Latin Literature (dead languages are for the cool kids, obviously). I plan on becoming a Classics teacher in the near future.

I've only been watching anime and reading manga since 2007, and still consider myself to be a newbie in many respects. I feel like I've barely scraped the surface with anime. Seinen and Josei are my favourite demographics, but I'm open to most things :)

Other stuff that I'm into: I tend to read a lot, though I'm probably reading more manga than books right now. I enjoy jogging and playing badminton, was even part of a Kendo club until they had to relocate to somewhere too far out for me :( I also play the guitar, more for relaxation these days compared to how serious I used to be about it. Also very into films and enjoy all kinds of music, though I'm probably more into metal/post-grunge these days.

...I think that just about sums me up. Thanks for accepting my request, I look forward to getting to know you guys :)

Didn't have a database back then, so it was really easy. Just a title, amount of episodes in it and how many you've seen and such. Database had to come when we started to count average scores between series. There was no naming policy with series and it made counting scores impossible without a database and serie ID to use.

Hi everyone, got accepted yesterday and shiz.

I'm 24, third world dweller. I'm studying biochemistry and -OH YES PLEASE- I'll be finished by next year. As to what to do next, I'll probably keep studying for the rest of my life, try to do some badass post-graduate studies and hopefully I'll get out of here and live peacefully until I become a supervillain after an accident at my workplace.

I like animu (hurr), the vidya, music (derp), lurking and I like to collect FIRST EDITION books. I also read them. I'm awesome at ping-pong too, but no one cares about that. ;_;

Started watching tons of anime as a child, open TV channels showed a lot of anime back then around here in Latinamerica, and it wasn't just the typical shonen stuff. And uncensored, it was crazy. You know what I mean, Ranma's boobs and whatnot.

And as you probably guessed already, English is not my native language. Anyway, nice to meet you all.
