I dunno, I'm not too sure about this episode. Bradley basically lost because he was blinded for a moment (seriously, what the hell?), and Kimblee appearing didn't really make much sense at all. I do like Kimblee though so I can't complain too much.

hello to everybody. This episode was awesome, but didn't all of u noticed that the homunculus wrath is still alive. While greed found him "dead" the camera was focused to wrath's face and a small part of it was moving!!!!

Wrath is dead, and he died handsomely. The freaking most powerful homunculus eva, I wonder if it is because he was more human than homunculus.

I can't help but thinkt hat the last two episodes actually failed.

There have been many minor and major plot twists in this anime. But in the episodes before, it was like: these plottwists were prepared like 10 episodes before the scene it is revealed in, and then one understood how unbelievably great that move was; at least I never expected something to happen in the earlier episodes. And everything was fitting and consistent.

Now, that ceased to be. It feels like the mangaka ran out of ideas when he tried to make a impossibly great ending. Many of the plottwists feel forced, everything is as predictable as can be, which surely doesn't help these twists at all. The story has grown clearly inconsistent, and that is the worst thing that can happen to any anime. For example, the Crimson Alchemist helping Edward. I know, he did everything out of pure enjoyment and because he found it interesting, but there is no way I can imagine a Kimblee helping Ed. This is a major inconsistence in my opinion. I was like... "yeah, sure... not!" all the time over these last two episodes. I want to add many more things, but I don't have the time right now. Maybe I'll do it later.

The bit with Kimblee is less about him helping Ed and more how he hates hipocrisy and basically believes Pride has become pathetic by at the same time believing in his superiority as a homunculus, while stooping so low as to trying to borrow Ed's body just to survive. Kimblee has tremendous respect for those who stay true to themselves and who they are (like Winry's parents) and has none for those who say one thing but do something else. Because of this, Kimblee felt that Pride deserved to lose.

As far as the other elements- Hohenheim's counterrattack, the nationwide Alkahestry circle, and of course Father's nationwide transmutation circle itself were hinted at, if not outright shown many episodes earlier.

This is by far the best episode yet. I got goosebumps while watching it.

I was happy to see that Hohenheim quickly got everybody's souls back. Seeing them all passed out at the beginning was pretty emotional. But damn, all the alchemy that was pulled off in this episode was really amazing. It was the definition of badass.

Haha, and WTF Kimbley?! I didn't expect to see him again. I completely forgot that Pride absorbed him. It wasn't meant to be a funny scene, but I laughed when Kimbley's face appeared inside of Pride. And Pride could not have have been defeated in a more epic way.

So they changed it to 64 episodes?

Extending the epilogue-esque ending that was chapter 108?

Well! That was certainly an interesting episode! Especially compared to last episode, I have to say I really enjoyed this one. I was unsure at first about the Kimbley plot twist, as it seems rather...deus ex machina-ish? All I had in my head was, "...really? Seriously?" But for some reason, it came off as both dumb and awesome at the same time so I'm unsure what to think about it, but I guess for now, I can look past it. The rest of the episode was pure gold. Animation was top notch, too, and I was very impressed by Father's hand-held sun.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the last episodes!

Agreed. Kimbley was a great villain because he wasn't a dumb follower who obeyed every command given to him. He did things because he liked to, not because he was loyal to any one person. Therefore, he was never really for or against anyone - as long as his wants are met, he's happy - so he didn't necessarily act to save Ed, even though that was the inevitable consequence of his actions.

Amazing episode like always. Fight between Homunculus and the sacrifices was good. Still can't Ed did not kill Selim but reverted him to his true form, like Envy. And lastly, loved how a minor character (Scar's brother), that didn't even show up for a whole episode, did so much, playing a part in reviving Alchemy for the sacrifices to fight Homunculus.

THAT IS ONE KICK A$$ EPISODE!!!!! I don't know how to review this episode. First, I want to say that they really fast forward every single thing from the manga.... now only leaves Chapter 107 and 108, they're so good! And second, all the characters seem to be so BAD A$$, totally awesome stuff! And finally..... IT'S SO GOOD ON ANIME!!!!!!

WOOT FOR FMA!!!

Not as epic as the last few episodes but quite good nonetheless. That father guy now kicks ass but he needs lots of stones to continue doing it?

It seems the major will be literally colonels eyes from now on. Well now that they will depend completely on each other, marry the girl already.

The way Selim lost was a little disappointing to me but oh well.

father was god for too short of a time.
even in that little time he should of gained an tremendous amount of knowledge.
think of ed going into the gate for less then a minute and how much more he knows because of it
how did Hohenheim know what fathers plans were?
this episode was awesome but it felt awkward at the same time.

He still retains "God" at the moment, but that's in jeopardy because he lost the 50 million souls that would make it plausible. Hohenheim had hundreds of years to gather intelligence and insight as to what was going on within Amestris and Father, so I don't think it's far-fetched to say he had adequate time to figure out, plan, and prepare for this moment.

Because at this point I believe they weren't certain of a 64th episode, I'm sure they were condensing like mad to make 62 and 63 perfectly paced. In the manga, Father does have more time in his "untouchable" state, which did make it more suspenseful.

hmm...very epic. i think the insert song they used was better for that other episode where they fought the immortal army than in this ep. I think it was a little rushed. I have a feeling that they might just put the final ending in ep 64, like what they did with Inuyasha. but I was pretty surprised when at the end of the ep it said "don't miss the last 3 episodes!" I'm glad they're making one more :)

I've only created 1 thread before the episode aired idiot. Get your facts straight. You posted 1 6 hours before the episode airs and one that is 30 minutes before. If you were smart enough to check my threads' time stamps, you would see them at 1:25ish Pacific time when the episodes finish airing. And even saying in your previous thread yourself NOT TO POST BEFORE IT AIRS. Some contradicting stuff you got there....

That was the most epic and awesome episode ever xD
Bradleys death was sad, but befitting. What a beast to injure scar without any arms left.
Pride's end wasn't quite as epic but still great. But the small baby freaked me out Oo

For me, this just went from one convenient loose thread to the next. What happened to Kimblee? Here he is snug inside Pride. What happened to Scar's brother's research? Here's a flashback explaining something that was never totally explained 25 episodes ago when May first appeared. Top that all off with Hoenheim finally explaining what he was doing all this time, and it was just an overload of exposition.

Then we have Ed (who's been totally useless for I don't know how long) transmuting himself into a Philosopher's stone to kill Pride, and I wonder where was that quick thinking the whole entire time? Mustang's useless, and it's pretty much Hoehenheim's show. Except for the fact that as a character he just isn't interesting when he's serious.

I don't know. Maybe it's just shounen syndrome, but all this was very underwhelming, and nowhere near as great as I hoped it would be. When May is being far more useful than Al, a main character, I have to wonder what the point was in most of the main cast.

... Wasn't expecting Kimblee's appearance!

I didn't expect a lot of things in the episode, actually - fail on my part... XD But every surprise was awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed the episode. Hohenheim's counter-measures to "Father"'s plans? Awesooome. I did think that the entire population of Amestris was going to be unconscious for the remaining episodes, and that's no fun...

Glad to see Wrath die. He didn't redeem himself in any way, at least to me. Wasn't happy to see that Pride is still alive, either, but Ed is a great character and I can see why he didn't destroy the "true form" of Pride -- Selim, apparently?

Scar's role in this was also great. Made me happy. Now he better not die. D<

Anywho. Amazing stuff and expecting more amazingness to come, obviously!

Lol at talk of firstfags and trolls.

This episode was kind of a letdown for me, even with the excellent animation and sounds. The pace was so fast, the events are mixed up and some weren't as great as the manga. The explanation about the research also halted the excitement of the first part. I think if they followed the format of the events from the manga with some tweaks at some scenes, it would have been better. But it was still good from the point of view of an anime-only watcher.

Now I'm wondering about the last episodes based on the preview. But I gave up trying to guess the contents, seeing as this episode was kind of condensed. Don't get me wrong, I still love the show and the episode was ok, it just didn't meet my expectations.
