*sigh* Fuu is such a weak-ass. She could at least take some karate lessons so she can take a level in badassery. -.-
bruh it was in Edo era women were not allowed to learn many stuffs like men, and if she could do some karate skills then I don't think she would need Mugen and Jin anymore :)

Seems like it's focusing on Fuu now. I felt really bad for her, not gonna lie... We got some info on the sunflower samurai. Good episode.

I don't get why people are surprised with how Fuu is. She's 15 ffs. She's done more things than what's expected from girls her age in that era (judging by the story the series told us so far). Bit unfair to compare her to her older comrades who have actual experiences.

Gah, poor Mugen. Mistaken for the guy who attacked him earlier...

And wow, maybe it should've seemed obvious that one of Jin's former classmates would attack him... Completely consistent with his story after all, but I didn't expect it. And I don't really get why he didn't want to kill the guy - it would've been cake for him... Interesting personality he has... and ideals of course...

I almost would've thought Okuru was the Sunflower Samurai - he's got the seeds and all... XD And maybe Fuu is the daughter he thought died from the disease, alongside his wife? I'm probably totally wrong since this series wouldn't be that predictable, would it...?
the mother died a year ago the samurai left when she was a child

So we got a flashback of Fuu as a child seeing the samurai that smells of sunflowers. Obviously Okuru isn't the samurai there's no way they would introduce the samurai so early on.

Hope they dig deeper into Jin's story, there's probably a lot of interesting to know.
In this episode, my belief that the samurai smelling like sunflowers is Fuu's father increased even more, especially when she said she was going to beat him up and at the time of her flashback.

Kind of interesting coming back to this show all these years later (and especially after stuff like Golden Kamuy) and being like "Oh, Okuru is Ainu" and understanding the real history of his situation much better. I don't think you need the historical knowledge to get the episode but its interesting to know it and how lightly the show outlines it. They never even use the word Ainu.
