Does animes ratings take into account the score from those who haven't finished an anime?

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I'm just wondering because it would suck if there was a really good anime with a bad 1st and/or 2nd episode which would cause people to drop it and leave a bad rating.

Your scores are taken into account as soon as you've seen 20% of the total number of episodes the anime has (this is commonly known as the 1/5 rule)

Note that this is only true for finished anime. For currently airing anime, all scores are taken into account. Then as soon as an anime finishes airing, the 1/5 rule applies. This is why there are usually sudden score jumps in an instant the day an anime ends
