Reflecting on old posts, I think a good point was brought up -- if history is a central part to a specific title, should you assume it's accurate?

I think anyone that is invested in history facts will naturally source material to factual information. I believe most people know this show is based on stereotypes. That being said, even something silly as this show can potentially lead someone to do further research and get more invested in a particular topic, and I think that's a good thing.

I am greatly disappointed in the depiction of Poland. Honestly, you could almost switch his personality with that Italy, and it would be a bit more accurate. Actually, Poland wasn't recognized as a nation until after WW1, so he should be a scared kid holding a teddy bear (Poland loves bears). The Poles have been a people for a long time, but they have been constantly pulled apart by powerful countries who consider Poland as prime real estate.
