| Really great soundtrack, extremely similar to Knut Avenstrup Haugen's soundtrack for Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer Which isn't odd since they both take place in a fictional version of Korea. (Though parts of Khitai in Conan lore are inspired by China and Mongolia as well) |

| Just in case anyone is looking for where to download the OST, since it still hasn't been uploaded to Nyaa yet: the guy that uploaded it to YT got it from 'ostanime.net'. I did as well. I can't link direct due to the rules but it's there, uploaded to various direct download sites. My favourite track is probably Hak's relaxed theme since - strangely enough - it fits his dedicated-loyalty very well, in spite of his more aggressive personality. A great example of how the music grounds the series from its spazzy comedy: Btw, Red, if you want similar music then you need not look beyond 'The Twelve Kingdoms': a very similar series, with the same composer. Instrumental opening and all. Akatsuki's composer was clearly hired based on his previous work, being as both shows were made by the same studio. |
