| episode 24 is my favorite, because it shows how ginko is one of the more sane mushishis. it was to me the epitome of a mushishi episode...referencing humanity's fear of the unknown, interesting story, and the concept of burning a mountain is epic to me |

19 - String from the Sky is my personal favourite. A very touching story and I'm a real sucker for a happy ending. |
| I really liked the one about the origins of how Ginko became a mushishi (Episode 12 I think.) He's always such a mysterious character, and that glimpse into his past is really intriguing. I also liked the one about the guy with supposedly "prophetic" dreams. The twist at the end was pretty cool. Wow, this thread really makes me want to go back and re-watch the series again! |
| If I have to chose one, it would be the one with that guy with is 'real' dreams. First time I actually understood the Shinto religion. Just beatifull. |

| Love all the episodes and all were memorable...... Here's some of the episodes I really like and hugely enjoyed..... (Episode 2) "The Light of the Eyelid" (I was touched by the girl's living condition.) (Episode 7) "Raindrops and Rainbows" (Love the rainbow Mushi lol.) (Episode 15) "Pretense of Spring" (I loved how the concept of the story and the beautiful scenery.) (Episode 16) "Sunrise Serpent" (I like how the son's reaction because of his mom's tragic Mushi encounter.) (Episode 19) "String from the Sky" (Love the story and the two characters....) (Episode 23) "The Sound of Rust" (Touching story as well and I find the snowy mountain so serene.) (Episode 26) "The Sound of Footsteps on the Grass" (Even though we don't get to see much of Ginko. This last episode stood out the most cause I like how we learned something about Ginko's past. I also like the vivid mountain scenery and the fog. I also think that because this particular ending haven't come to some conclusion, I'm still hoping for a second season.) All in all every episode (and I mean every single episode) were great. They have their moments and greatness but these are the ones that stood out the most for me..... I'm writing this out of my memory, maybe when I re-watch the series again I may add some...... | In most animes it's not too hard for me to pick a favorite episode, but in Mushishi? DANG. They're practically all totally awesome. If I was held at gunpoint to pick one though, I think I'd go with episode 2, with the goo-eyed girl. Except the one that had a giant snake on top of a mountain at the very end. I didn't have a clue what was up with that episode at all at the end. |

| my favourits are #15 Pretense of Spring - about spring in midst of severe winter, of falling snow, a wish to stay. #20 A Sea of Writings - about words, paper and letters, wish to leave a place you're used to both - also about love and longing. |

| I gotta say my favorite one is ep 20 A Sea of Writings. It's a very interesting concept of having to write down stories to banish the remnants of an evil mushi. I also liked the relationship between Ginko and Tanyu. My second favorite would be ep 15 Pretense of Spring. It was just really cute and I liked the characters in that one too. |

| Definitely episode 17, Pickers of Empty Cocoons. Something about that episode was so tragically magical to me. I could watch a whole anime revolving around the passages through the cocoons. Episode 2 is also a favourite. I see why the manga won an award for it. |

| 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 26. I love every episode really, though some of them have some flaws/lack of logic. Generally, I think it's quite stupid to chose there, because every episode of Mushishi is complete piece of art with complete story. |
| I love every episode. Its hard to pick. But the one that really made a deep impression was The Warbling Sea Shell. It captured every quality I like about Mushishi really. |
