| Many people say Greek mythology and also the Grim Reaper. As far as i know the Grim Reaper comes from Greek Mythology. He was the black dressed figure that used to get you along the other side after you died with his boat. His name was Charon which basically means "death" and the Grim Reaper IS death so that's it. The same can be said about phoenix if am not mistaken. "Phoenix" is actually the Greek word "Φοινιξ(Phinix)" that actually means "crimson red" or something like that and they used to imagine it as an eagle, a peacock or a mix of the two, so basically the image we have of it comes from there. |

| Dragons and Griffins are right now on the top of my favorite supernatural creatures list due to my recent Dragon Age obsession but. .. I have a thing for Greek mythology and Norse mythology (all my pets are named after this) and I think vampires are neat. . . most fantasy/mythology with all the fun creatures is nice in general! |
