Then some random person comes along and copies a piece of my layout and pastes it on an uglier looking layout... several times. It's not as bad as directly copying the whole thing, but couldn't he be a little more creative?! | Its fine copying others' work if you admire them, but there're simple rules to follow: 1) Ask, ask, ask! Get permission from the original artist to use any part of their idea. 2) Innovate! Turn it into something new by adding elements of your own. 3) Show some respect by giving credit where it is due. 4) Don't screw the design by churning out low quality crap. |
| Alright I for one have made cards that look similar to PHX's .but my goal was to see if i could make ones similar to what he had and not be just complete rip offs main thing is I've learned is making MCs loses its fun if you don't design your own cards some I've been coming up with since i took a break for the past 3 months new design1 new design2 PS PHX your way better at making layouts than I am XD |

| I usually dont have time to go round around much in MAL so all I see are just some similar types of member card (the styles, the borders, the username types, ...), but now I see in this club is a very similar 95% graphic stuff 0_o .. Suddenly I wonder: How was they thinking when they design (copy) it like that? ==" -> Uhm, guess they think its rare for us to find out the original one, or they just dont care what we'll think about them, as long as their works look nice :/ |
