| Cardness Club's Summer Exchange Hello! Welcome to MAL's very first (at least as far as I know) card exchange. Have you been missing out on threads lately? Think there aren't enough LEs? Or maybe you'd like a card with a certain theme? Would you like to make your own card for the club? If the answer is yes - read on. How does this work? It's very simple. If you're interested you'll need to sign up in the thread, giving me a list of themes/anime/manga that you like. Then I will randomly pair you with another participant and you will make a member card using one of the themes from your partner's list. You will also need to make a copy of the card for all other participants, and PM this to me. At the end of the event I will post a thread with everyone's cards, and you'll get a card that was made especially for you and also many other cards from different card makers. For more details on how this will work, please read the rest of the post. Schedule June 17th - Signups open June 20th - Signups close June 21st - Assignments are mailed out July 5th - Deadline for mailing me your template July 12th - Deadline for mailing me all your cards Signups Signups are now closed. |

| What you need to do by July 5th If you signed up, you should have received (or will receive soon) a PM containing the name of the person you're making a card for and their list of themes and preferences. I decided to make a last-minute change to the rules to keep it a surprise who's making a card for who. So the person you're making a card for is not the person who will be making a card for you, someone else is. To keep everything a surprise until the end, please don't tell who you're making a card for, and don't show the card to anyone until the end of the event :) The card you're making will need to fit the following requirements: * Minimum size: 100x200 (or 200x100 if vertical). * Maximum size: 400x400. * Needs to have the text: "Cardness Club", "Summer Exchange", username and ID#. * No photos, only illustrations. Both anime/manga art and fanart is acceptable. * Has to feature one of the themes from the list you've been given. You don't have to follow all of the preferences listed - for example if it says that they like vertical cards best but you prefer making a horizontal one, feel free to do so. However remember that you're making a card for someone and it'll make them happier if they receive a card they like. After you've finished the card, PM it to me. I will check that your card fits all of these requirements, and if it doesn't I'll ask you to fix it. At the beginning of July I will also mail participants who haven't sent a card yet. If you don't send me your finished template by July 5th, you will be removed from this event and will get no cards! Also you'll be banned from LEs for quite a while, because it's not nice for your partner who won't be getting a card from you. If you have internet problems or something, let me know before the deadline runs out and I might extend it. Me and xdeath_bunnyx will make the cards for everyone whose partner hasn't sent in a template, so don't worry about it. You will get your special card. What you need to do by July 12th I will send the participants a list of names and you will need to make a copy of your card for everyone on that list. Then, upload the cards to photobucket or imageshack or some site like that and PM me the URLs of the cards. After I receive everyone's cards I will post them all in a thread in the club. |

I don't appreciate those that have weird or very big shapes. Also I don't like when the colours or fonts of the cards don't work well with the image featured in the card, or when the picture doesn't have good quality. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CARDS YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE: 100 IS THERE SOMETHING YOU DON'T WANT TO GET AS A THEME? Yaoi, Yuri, Hentai, Loli, Shota IS THERE ANY PROBLEM WITH THE SCHEDULE? I have national exams from the July 14th to 19th so I will need the time before that to study as much as I can as I'm entering college this year and if I fail I probably won't be able to study what I want. Important! Since a couple of people have asked me already~ Right now you only need to make 1 template with 1 theme chosen from the list you've been sent. Then, PM it to me for approval. You don't need to do any more cards until after I've received everyone else's templates, unless we arranged differently because you had some problems with the schedule. Everyone has submitted their template~ great job guys! |
