I was curious about this, I'm sorry if there was a thread like this already, didn't search it properly because I don't know what keywords to use for that XD

What's the "pattern" you stick to when watching anime, if you have one?
I mean, for example, downloading the first episodes of 3 series, watching them and then go with one of them until it's closed, or follow all of them; or maybe watching all the episodes of a serie in a row as long as you like it; or maybe again watching 10 episodes of a serie, then leaving it on hold for some time while watching something else and then continuing it after a while... something like that.
Sorry for my bad English, I hope my question is clear XD

I usually wait till it's all released and then grab a batch, trying to keep to one series till I've finished it before starting a new one.
Unfortunately, my watching is much slower than my downloading, so I tend to get a bunch of series stocked up waiting to be watched.

In case it is a series I'm not quite sure about, I frequently grab the whole batch (So long as they are 12-26), watch the first two or three, and if it seems very trite (Often I've already read reviews and synopses to form some sort of idea beforehand) I take a quick skip through some of the later episodes to see whether they keep to the same or something new turns up before ditching it.
And sometimes, I end up deciding to watch something even if it may be a bit sloppy, but if that is the case, I tend to fast speedwatch forward through the thing, or it's boring parts rather than watching it in normal time.

My pattern, if it can be defined as such: I "acquire" a bunch of shows,, then watch the first ep of one after another until I find something I enjoy. I'll often get bored in the middle of a season and pick up something else, though, and I'll drop a show for good if it turns out to be annoying.

If the story has really dragged me in and there is some suspense, I may marathon a bit, like with Death Note.
something like that

Depends, but I usually download less than half the amount of eps and watch 'em. If I don't like them but still find them bearable, I might continue (but procrastinate). Otherwise if it's really good, then I'd watch them quickly.

I usually find a show that appears to be in my taste and add it to my watch list if the reviews are generally positive. If it's a show that's already finished, then it will rank on higher priority because I prefer to watch shows on my own time. I usually stick around for half a series (if they're within the 1 to 30 episodes frame) until I decide to drop it.
Because torrents aren't working right now and I can't really spare hundreds on DVDs, streaming is the way I usually watch nowadays.

I try to keep up with the latest. For competed series, I'd download all episodes then watch an episode or two day by day, since my downloading is slower than my watching. I drop it if I come to be bored of it, regardless of whether or not I've wasted so much time on it.

I try to watch half an episode for breakfast and the second half for lunch, and then a full episode for dinner.

Sometimes I'll watch an entire series straight out without interruption however I also sometimes will reserve a series I really like for dinner-only as I really look forward to dinner and lunch is the meal where I have to interrupt my day because my stomach has to whine half way through the day.

I usually search the anime based on genre that i'm feel like to watch. Ex: if i'm feel like to watch action anime, i search the list, look at the average score and some review, and if i think it suits my taste. I'll download all of the episodes and start watching it. I don't watch any other anime (except animes that currently airing) till i finished it.

I pick up a series if it sounds interesting or has some appealing elements. If my disk space allows, I will download all the episodes(for <26 eps series). Else I will download episode by episode and then delete after watching. I try to finish everything I started, as long as it does not cross the mediocre mundane border unbearably and becomes a chore to watch.

I try to avoid ongoing animes. I mean when it comes to me, I like watching anime straight. I don't like being hold up for one week just to wait for the next ep to come out. Rather I like to watch an anime series in a fast pace. After episode 1 on to episode 2 to episode 3 so on and so forth. but I Limit my time on watching it. On a regular basis i watch anime from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. And i got used to it.

I have many on going animes that I wait for, so while I'm waiting I watch an anime that's allready completed it's series.
For example I'm watching the Aria's at the moment, while I wait for my other 5 animes to come out every thursday, friday, saturday and sunday. ;)

Midnight Friday - Download like wild
Saturday - afternoon 2 eps of anime
Midnight Saturday - Download if bothered/st
Sunday morning download spam - watch anime while doing so.

Random anime through week or no anime at all.

This is like when I'm in no life mode.

Unless it's something I REALLY want to watch and that I know that is REALLY awesome, I'll wait till it's realeased and batch torrent it.

At this moment I have almost 30 long series on my disc waiting to be watched.

Then I watch one series at the time, completely. Usually together with all the related specials and OVAs.

Most of the time I wait until a series is finished airing and subbed before watching. If it is something I started out watching dubbed then I wait until it is finished being dubbed before watching it. If it is a series that I am pretty sure is going to be dubbed then I will wait until it is dubbed. If it is a an ova whose release is being spread throughout a year then I may just wait until an episode or two is subbed and then watch it. If for example a anime is being subbed by only one group and that group is slow as shit then I will still wait until they finished subbing it because if by some chance they drop then I am left hanging and to what happened in the end and I am not learning another language just so I can watch a cartoon.Sometimes I will watch 4-6 episodes and then days later perhaps even later next week I watch another 4-6 episodes, although lately I have been watching 4-6 episodes at the end of the day almost every day.

Wow. I wish I had a backlog like that. I get it right as it comes and finish it as I get the last episode. But I guess it's good that way. Always on my toes.

Takes time to find a good anime I like, I try to go inbetween romance/comedy/more light hearted to darker, dramatic, psychological, violent, etc. Keeps things fresh instead of watching too much of just one genre. If I really like the anime, I'll finish it quick, if it's decent I'll watch it in a course of a week to three weeks

I try to avoid things currently airing and prefer series that are finished, can't imagine how pissed I'd be seeing the second to last episode of Death Note before waiting a week

With airing anime I watch the episodes as soon as they come out, when I've got time.

With completed anime I try to stick to one or two at most, often a comedy/slice of life and a more serious anime. I watch what I feel like watching, usually a few episodes at a time.

I have a lot of plan-to- watch anime on my external HDD, so choosing what to watch next is not a problem for me. I just go with something random or an anime that I've been wanting to see for a while.

Yes, if Ive already read the manga for it.

Anyways, my way of watching anime is rather complicated. I don't like marathoning shows, so it takes me forever to finish a series. Im currently watching 5 anime at a time, two series that have finished airing, and three series that im trying to catch up in episodes for. However, that got all screwed up because all the airing anime I want to watch are ending.
