How well do the stereotypes usually associated with the people of your country actually describe you? Are they accurate, or are you nothing like them? Personally, the most frequent Canadian stereotype is that we're overly polite and apologetic. Which is kinda true for me, since I still have a strong tendency to play nice with people who have antagonistic behavior. So what about you? What are the well-known stereotypes of your country, and do they apply to you? |

Eh well I carry umbrellas with me whenever I go out. I don't have the best teeth either... I've always had too many of them and some of them are crooked. My parents were always a bit suspicious of the dentist, so I didn't always go. Oh yeah, I also adore trains, especially Steam Locomotives, that's a major British passion. As for stuff like loving the monarchy or something, nah...my mother loved them, but I don't care so much about them. |

My country? A politicized society, I'd say; unlike any other country, there are tons of people here who are still interested and very competent in history, analytics, geopolitics, and politics, and also a lot of non-fiction book readers. One of the reasons why Western media, politics, and analytics are commonly considered a joke here. But my most associated stereotype would be the ability to creatively curse; if you're not good at that, you'll be an outcast here. @Commit_Crime Go hug and kiss @fleurbleue 17 times, she couldn't rest easy and was insufferable, knowing you were gone more than 2 weeks. |

Not many national stereotypes would fit me due to being a mixed race. All I can confidently explain is that I grew up with adults who had various approaches of raising and disciplining me. @MalchikRepaid well I can stand regular salmiakki. But I do like salmiakki flavored foods like ice cream and liquor. For a while Salmiakki Koskenkorva was my favorite liquor but then I found Rubarb Koskenkorva which is great with sparkling water. But ye salmiakki is fine but better as an added flavor |

@fleurbleue I'm allergic to certain heavy anesthetics, so I think my mother was concerned about that, even though I've never been put out to have teeth removed so far (or any other major operation). She also didn't like that the dentist wanted to keep some of my teeth (because maybe he'd send them on somewhere for research without our knowledge? I don't really know?) so she asked to keep them. It just seems like that was the default situation with anyone other than our private Dr. who was to see me. My parents (mother especially) thought that I would be taken or harmed being somewhere by myself, or that I could have been monitored by who knows?. They felt the same way when I'd go see my physiotherapist. Some of it might have been warranted, but some probably wasn't. Oh man I haven't had my tea black for so long now? also since a kid probably? I remember that I actually used to sip it up using a teaspoon though, so I guess that is pretty distinguished :D |

Considering the general stereotypes I see of Americans (dumb, overweight, gun loving, rubs their country in everyone's face) I don't really fit these that much. I was an honors student for most of my education, while I am out of shape I am still within what is considered a healthy weight range for my body type (I am still trying to lose some weight to be a bit more comfortable but still stay within a healthy range), i fucking hate guns and wish they weren't legal, and I fucking hate my dogshit country is especially rn with all the blatant hate towards literally every aspect of my being that is proliferating here, but my dislike of the country goes far beyond the current cultural issues and down to infrastructural problems as well. Never really felt like I fit in with "being American" but especially now I feel that less and less each day |

some of the major bad stereotype we filipinos have are "bahala na" mentality meaning carefree so we do not take things seriously like the recent big corruption in our government right now most filipinos do not care despite our taxes being mismanage and i say im kinda in similar to the majority i just do not go to the streets to protest rather i just vote wisely again in the next election "always late" we filipinos are known for it but back when i was still socially active like having school and jobs im always on time instead "crab mentality" im not sure this is still applicable to young generation of filipinos and i do not think it applies to me too i just want a decent living standards for all but maybe i got crab mentality against the 1% aka rich people |

@qasdrtfgbhtghnm I was considered a little shit when i was in elementary and middle school, I was by no means considered a "good kid" and got detention or temporary suspensions quite frequently. My academic performance was always high but I would question authority a lot and get into some trouble as a result since I would act out. While I was better able to control myself in high school I was by no means "pure" despite being an honors student based on my academic performance. |

@fleurbleue Ah yeah I had to have 2 teeth out fairly recently. My top molar was meeting the bottom wisdom tooth and it was making chewing uncomfortable. He also removed a top wisdom tooth that was coming through but had no room and was basically useless. He suggested all sorts of things including braces and no doubt I probably should have had them years ago, but I don't really want to bother with them now, I just wanted to be able to chew comfortably, which I can now do. I went private for it, as it's literally impossible to go as an NHS patient for the dentist now, they fill up quickly, fortunately I can afford it but I only want what's really necessary. Other than being crooked their perfectly fine apparently, which amazed even me😅 |

But i understand that feeling of despair, i literally feel this heavy feeling hanging in the air, this history full of dirty gulags, wars, poverty and hate.
Maybe if i lived in another country, i would be a little more positive. But honestly i like my realistic look on life.
@x_scolopendra_x There was not a single country on the planet that reached 100% socialism; the Soviet Union only had a very few tiny aspects of socialism, but that's about it. Move to the US; their capitalism is basically a legalized dirty gulag society with bums, drunks, and crackheads, with massively overpriced living standards. They also never, ever attack any countries and never sponsor any wars; they are just cute and innocent multi-color bunnies. |

Nysse said: For a while Salmiakki Koskenkorva was my favorite liquor but then I found Rubarb Koskenkorva which is great with sparkling water. Good taste! :D I've tried the normal one, the lemon one, and the raspberry one so far but not that. Do you use flavored sparkling water when you mix it? Salmiakki/licorice and similar things like star anise taste the best in liquid form imo. Like in the Koskenkorva liqueur you mentioned and things like sambuca, ouzo, and absinthe. I don't mind salmiakki candy, both the regular and salty ones are fine, but it's not something that I like enough that I'd buy it myself |
