| I can't really imagine how a sequel could be any good but i'll try to think positively. Edgerunners has been one of my favorite anime of the 20s but it was a very one and done sort of story. I don't think this was needed at all. Anyways I'll watch anything Trigger puts out even if it's garbage. |
There was no need of a sequel. If the story is completely seperate from the main cast of S1 but set in a sequel timeline that can be fine I guess 🤔. |
| People complaining is so annoying. This is a sequel only in name, in reality it's an addition to an anthology anime series expanding the world of the video game. What's so bad about another badass cyberpunk story set in the same world? If anything, no matter how bad or good it ends up being, it's still cyberpunk. |

It's NOT a sequel, just named edgerunners 2. Whole new story with new characters set in the same world. I don't see how that would be a problem for people |

| NGL I was caught off guard seeing this in my notification, really wasn't expecting any kind of sequel for this. I thought the first one was good, though maybe a bit over hyped. Can't say I was dying for a second run of Edgerunners, but I'll probably still watch it when it comes out. If it takes place in the same universe but focuses on a new set of characters, I think this can absolutely work. |
| Sequels serve two purposes: to fix what's broken and to break what's intact. Cyberpunk Edgerunners is the single greatest anime ever crafted. CPER2 is gonna suck ass. |

| Edgerunners is fine but overrated. A sequel isn't need it. It will be better a spin-off which closes the gap in the rushed pacing from the original. I think they are going to use Lucy and a new cast which that's why its called "II" and not other name but I felt her character arc is over and it would feel a waste to do something with her. Another option is they decide to re-adapt the original game with everything improved but its unlikekly. |

| Cautiously optimistic. Sounding like we have new staff, so I'll be excited, but I'll temper my expectations. The world of Cyberpunk is rife with opportunity to tell stories, so I'm glad we're visiting it again. I won't take the teaser at face value, as just like the first season, there are bound to be changes to the final product. But it looks like they want to follow a younger character who uses a camera? I wonder when this takes place? Shortly after season 1? I believe that took place around a year or so before the events of the game. Looking forward to this one. |
| I know it's going to be its own thing that just reuses the Edgerunners name for some reason. But I feel like the original Edgerunners was something special. Making another one even if it's with a different cast kind of ruins it. Especially if it retreads the same grounds as the first one with it being a sad story with a tragic ending which they said it will. Idk. It might be good. But I'm not overly excited. It's not something I was dying to see or anything. |

| After watching the teaser trailer little bit worried. I'm assuming that kid with the cam recorder is the gonna be the new MC? If so my initial impression is I'm not a fan. Hopefully the show is good. |
