| Nice to see this series return! I can understand why some are disappointed that it's a new cast but given that 10 years has gone by since the last GATE season ended I can see why they went with a bit of a restart |

| Is it April the 1st? *checks the date* Damn it really is true... seems to be a new cast which is a slightly disappointing, but at least we're getting a new show in this franchise. I'm a fan of naval vessels like submarines so this is kinda' cool. Let's hope it's like a Zipang scenario but with medieval pirates to blow up, lol. |

| I was not expecting this news at all. Who would have thought.. after so long. Gate is a solid cool anime which I enjoyed good amount in 2016. Hopefully season 2 will be just as enjoyable ;D |

| In the end most anime are just meant to advertise the material their adapted from whether it be a light novel, manga or a game. Once the story of the material is completed than a continuation of it's anime serves no point. The main novel has long since been completed this new anime is meant to advertise the current spin off novel. |
