Saikyou no Ousama, Nidome no Jinsei wa Nani wo Suru? Episode 2 Discussion

The animations of the anime are really bad, everyone agrees on that. I think the studio needs to change something in the next episodes, otherwise they will be one of the biggest disappointments of the year. We are living one of the weakest anime seasons of recent times, I expected them to see this as an opportunity for themselves. You had a quality Manwha source, I am really disappointed. I can tolerate mediocre animations because I am curious about the story, but this will not please everyone. What I mean by curiosity is what I expect from an average isekai anime.

@Ademkdll Nope. Not everyone agrees on that. If you read the comments the properly you would have seen that. Majority seems to agree the animation quality sucks though, but that is still not the same as everyone.

"We are living one of the weakest anime seasons of recent times" is also a phrase I hear pretty much every season, if it's so weak, why the hell we keep watching then?

@Tomara It's not hard to understand that the anime is disappointing even if you look at the episode scores, and I've read enough comments. I've seen people saying it's better than Solo Leveling before it even came out. A person who is happy with this animation quality either has no idea about it or only cares about the story, and I mostly care about the story, so I'll finish it. I think you'd want one of the big studios to do this.

The reason I watch it is usually the series I watch because I think there might be something I missed and it didn't appeal to people. I don't watch them too much, usually 2-3 series at most. If you look at the upcoming Summer season, I think you'll agree with me that this season is bad. Or just compare it to last year's Spring season.

People are using Rudeus as a reason to not watch Mushoku Tensei (rightfully so, since he is pretty abhorrent), however the portrayal of Arthur's past (Grey) isn't much better.

In the first episode: indiscriminate slaughter of civilians or military by bombing buildings.
In the second episode: execution of a mother and child due to the father attempting to harm him and the people calling it "mercy" for the mother and child. This implies three things:

• He's a bad individual and other wants him dead.
  
• He has murdered a lot of other individuals in cold blood, innocent or not.
  
• These twisted ideologies is normalized in his world due to the reverence of "strength".
  

The anime's portrayal of Arthur's past, and about how he was should've been a later clause, not this early by making Grey look like an irredeemable bastard that just kills any chance of mine connecting with Arthur (anime Arthur). They should’ve saved that reveal until later.

And god damn it, switch Arthur's inner voice, really awkward to hear a 30+ year old man's dark voice coming from a kid.

Lmao so rather than him somehow catching himself with magic, he just survives with barely a scratch on him.
So his parents didn't even try to go retrieve his body?!
