| Not that it should be any surprise, Allucia really does treasure her time with Beryl since her childhood days. Beryl also reunites with another one of her students Ficelle, although she seems more reserved than the other two. This anime so far has done its job at introducing these characters but so far, the most important ones has their connection with Beryl. I guess the main plot will kick off soon after these character intros and backgrounds. |

| This episode gave a lot of insight into Beryl’s swordsmanship and how kind and surprisingly humble he is, as shown through Allucia’s monologued background. Not that I didn’t already get that from the last one. We also met another student, Ficelle, who excels at both magic and swordplay—at least from his fellow students' perspective—during a date with Curuni. Now Beryl must face a challenger, a true master of her craft: Lucy. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. The show’s kept me entertained so far, so there’s that. |

| It was small detail but I liked the little clap greeting Curuni and Ficelle did when they met. Already getting a cliff hanger huh. Ending right when things were starting to get heated, literally. |

He doesn’t see it himself, but he’s genuinely amazing. Even the other knights in the capital stop and listen to anything Beryl says now because of how much Allucia respects him and how he beat buddy’s ass last week π What’s killing me tho is just how many students has this dude forgot over the years lmao. This is now like 3 students he’s somehow forgot that have gone on to do amazing things. Fice becoming a wizard is really dope as well! Speaking of wizards, that cliffhanger is wild. Wonder how Beryl is gonna fare against someone who can use magic as opposed to a weapon. |

| Of all of Beryl's students presented so far, Ficelle is without a doubt the one I like the most so far. Although, the story of Allucia meeting and training with Beryl and that the reason she became a commander just to have Beryl's teachings acknowledged was very tender. If she's accomplished so much with the basics Beryl taught her, I can't wait to see what he's like in serious combat. |

Anime where the protagonist is overpowered but humble and dismissive about can get annoying because the MC just constantly dismissing that they’re actually strong is irritating… this is heading that way

| A touching and very interesting look at Alluicia's past when she was a student of Beryl. Ficelle seems to have a pretty incredible skill with her sword magic, hoping to see more of her soon. Beryl is being tested once again as we end this episode on a cliffhanger. Damn, this soundtrack is amazing, it feels both nostalgic and action-oriented. Also love both the OP and ED, great work on that. Another very good episode! |

| Bit of a misleading episode title seeing as he only met her at the very end. Throwing in cliffhangers just for the sake of having cliffhangers isn't great. Kind of a boring episode with half just being a flashback. |
| Another cool and lovely episode!!! Allucia's background story makes her current aspirations make sense, unfortunately, she didn't get that date she was hoping for today. Then, a new girl introduced this 2nd episode, a dark-haired beauty!  I guess all girls in this series are kawaii. Then, a little girl who is older than MC... okay, we are getting the sus part now...?! π Anyway, the series is currently, little by little, explaining the characters background story and even giving world building, which is a nice thing in this series. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

@Myetx but what’s really annoying about the humble thing in a lot of anime like this (such as I Parry Everything) it’s that it can be really annoying that the MC doesn’t actually understand his strength in comparison to others
| @ajw215799 Funnily when I said retarded I thought exactly of 'I Parry Everything'. That was extreme level of not understanding (and not listening) ruined otherwise very promising series. 'The Ossan Newbie Adventurer' handled it much better on the other hand. Maybe I am overly optimistic about this series but I hope that Beryl will show some understanding of his skillset or at least his students will help him. |
| Awhhh, Allucia was beautiful, I really liked her relationship with the old man it was sweet. Though to be honest, I wasn’t that into her backstory. Still, I loved the scene where she got jealous, it was super cute.. The new characters seem interesting too, and I liked them too. overall. It was a nice, enjoyable episode—I had a good time watching it. 6/10 |
| I'm really surprised with how "tame" the swordsmanship is so far. I was expecting a little more superhuman stuff in a fantasy setting like this but it's only been 2 episodes so it could still happen later. |

| I liked watching Allucia's backstory and why she felt compelled to bring Beryl out from his backwater village to the city, and that made me wonder if she worked with his father since he found a replacement for Beryl pretty quickly. Also, it was interesting to meet another of his former pupils in Ficelle who uses a mix of magic and swordplay, cool. On that note Beryl now has to go up against Ficelle's boss Lucy who I think is a bit too aggressive, or maybe feisty is a better word, hopefully he'll be able to humble her a bit. |
| Strings in the ED are really great. And I like that black-hair. That's about it tho. Also, does bro just give them a real sword with no practice with it, and let them go into the wild? |
