So that's it, huh. It's such a shame because it had some pretty neat concepts underneath, but poorly executed. The budget looking CG is also not helping the case.

@komic It's just very condensed since it's only 12 eps so a lot of plot points don't get elaborated, so you just get a few lines and you sort of infer, oh it's kind of like this other different series and so on.

The end of a comprehensible yet incomprehensible story—fun, yet confusing at times.

Still, Sakko managed to save the love of his life, Momohime, with the help of Rimiya and Hana. And in the end, the show wrapped up on a happy note, with neither universe being destroyed after defeating the goddess.

It'd fair better if it has 2 cours. With 1 cour, it only leaves enough trace for people who can process 100% of the information in their first watch, and I'm obviously not that kind of people.

So 2D world is the universe of flesh and 3D world is the universe of emotion? And 3D world happened in the past? So two universes are actually universe of the past and universe of the present?

Nice music by the way, the epicness from this anime is mostly from the music alone.

Being really honest this last few episode I kinda blacked out. So I say, was an anime of this season.

At least in the end, Sayo wasn't the only one who died. But that she "haunted" to the first episode to the last.

It's the same thing happening again.. the 1st Aquarion and the 2nd Aquarion, and now the 4th Aquarion. The last battle is to prevent the two world to 'collide' to each other. (The Logos ending, I can't remember much, but If I remember correctly, the MC is just going to save the heroin from the villain I think)

That vice principle was Nanook father all along xD, but to bad.... Momohime's and Rimiya's dad, and Sayo's remaining dead.

Of course the heroin is survive, they kill her for a minute, then Sun sacrifice himself to save Momohime, and everyone is happy. Happy ending.

Guess what? Logos is still the worst. But, the original and the EVOL is still better.

I actually like the concept of the show but the execution wasn't there.
First of all I love the op song and the art style of the 2D animation ,but the 3D one just wasn't it .
I can point out individual scenes that could have been done better just by removing or adding curtain details.
In case of characters ,it was kind of confusing. Especially Hana and Momohime. Cause Hana couldn't feel hate and ended up wanting to kill the people they love. But I keep forgetting that and kept thinking that she couldn't feel love and ended up hating the one she loved .
Sun's character wasn't properly used in my opinion.
I also think the connection between sakko and his fears could have been highlighted better.
overall i say it was ok, I still will give it like a 6.8/10

Turbo nuclear liquid hot flaming dogshit. If you think 'it wasn't that bad' you have absolutely no fucking standards. This is going into the rare and elusive 1/10 club with Metallic Rouge.

@Neneaux

Simply, it was pretty enjoyable. Can you explain why you hate the series? Most of your comments on this anime forum are you hating on the series.

Also, no need to harass people who like the series that is just shit behavior ngl.

@Neneaux clearly if this's so bad in your standard you should try Ex-Arm, it gonna bleed your eye, ear, heart and soul

This was very disappointing because there were clearly some very interesting ideas in this series but none of them got the attention they deserved and all ended up half-baked as consequence. I liked the idea to use different art styles but the budget and talent wasn't there to pull it off, I liked the idea of characters missing key emotions but there wasn't enough character development or episodes focusing on a specific character to show why that mattered and how that would make their lives more challenging and how they could overcome those challenges, I liked the trippy universal correction idea but there wasn't enough time spent on it to make it have a big impact. If the Sayo plotline was spread out over a whole season with a monster of the week format with a bunch of character development focused episodes and the whole cult plotline was its own season with more carefully crafted and present antagonists I think the core ideas could have shone through. But that's not the universe we live in and what we got was very barebones and shallow.

Wish they did something to tie it into the original. The other world definitely seems connected to the Shadow Angels, and many of the enemy-of-the-week appear like Cherubim's. The original had two timelines that merged and re-split (movie remade itself into TV, which seemingly split again in EVOL), this seems like a third branch where there was no Apollonius, and whatever the Shadow Angels core was (tree of life or something?) incarnated into this goddess. Without any direct ties, and just things that merely feel like its associated with Shadow Angels, doesn't really seem like it needs the "Sousei" part in the name, and just have it as "Aquarion" similar to "Logos"

It had gotten better midway. The other world was interesting. However the ending is obviously rushed.

What I think happened is that the original universe (3d) was split in two by the goddess of chaos who just erases and rebirths universes by design. The two worlds were then trying to merge back into one. The goddess however wanted the sinners to pay for their sins of ripping their wings off, which they had done to fight her in the original universe, so she brought them all together in this universe. Deava wanted momohime dead because that would reinforce their universe's version of events. That was necessary because the split universes were coming together too fast and were going to crash, either destroying each other or one prevailing. Momohime in the end wanted to merge with an invading creature by loving it to then avoid having to fight. Aquarion together with a merged momohime had at last the mana energy to push away the universes.
At least that's what I gathered from the ending...

The series has so many factions to juggle (the Elements, the World Awakening Council, the Space Egg Society, DEAVA, the houses of Naacal, and the goddess), but because they've tried to follow the plot points of Evangelion in just one cour, I honestly still have no freaking idea about any of character motivations.

Aquarion has gotten worst & worst. The first & second were the only ones worth watching and this series is the final nail in the coffin.

Score: 1

Worst Shoji Kawamori creation ever!
