Hello, I need help finding some anime.
Can anyone recommend me anime which is similar to Madan no Ou to Vanadis, Grancrest Senki and it must have a Manga (haven't axed, or in hiatus) if the anime doesn't cover the whole story.
I just found Madan no Ou to Vanadis and enjoyed it, though I couldn't continue it in the LN form due to my inability to focus on reading books and ya I just picked up Arslan Senki - plan on completing that (in Manga form as well).
I don't mind anime which I have already watched, because if that anime will have a Manga as it's source material - I would go back and read it completely, so anything will help.
Thank you.

Hmmmmm an anime about building your own place [kingdom/camp/stronghold etc.]

The one which I remember watching were: Overlord, Tensai Ouji, Appraisal skill aristocrat isekai [2nd season should be a seasonal right now or last season as I keep forgettin the name] and Re Monster, maybe even Code Geass would count there.

That's all I remember, perhaps if I would scroll down my list I would find something more but I guess that's enough of titles for a start.

Most of the best "Kingdom Building-esque" stories are actually based off of Novels or Light Novels. If it must be adopted from a manga source then something like "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" might interest you, beyond what other Users have already recommended. That is if you haven't already watched it before.

@Zettaiken I've seen all of them. But I'll check their Manga if it goes beyong the anime, Overlord manga is behind if I remember correctly and I'm waiting for the movie. Tensai Ouji, oh ya that lazy prince - I'll pick up the manga for that. Appraisal skill aristocrat isekai - I read that till 3rd season in manga form, waiting for the 3rd season of it. Re Monster - I thought the pacing was too fast, and kingdombuilding wasn't it's main focus (family building).
Thanks for the recommendations.

@Lucifrost Utawarerumono, I remember reading it's Synopsis and it recently got a new season. I'll check that out thank you.

@Saputrai Log Horizon, I think it was my first Isekai. Damn those were the good times. I think it got cancelled.

@ColourWheel That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime - I've tried to not read it, because anime looks good and it doesn't skips that much content from the LN. Though I did got spoiled for the upcoming war. If 8-Bit ever stops adapting probably I'll pick up the manga for it.

@SawronZXZ Outbreak Company, it's a kingdom building anime ? I didn't know that and it's an isekai, probably gonna watch it. Thanks for that.

Oh man, this manga was the definitive version of Romance of the Three Kingdoms when I was a kid, back in Korea. I didn't know they made an anime.

Really takes me back. The art style doesn't look as awesome as I remember, though...

Have you seen the anime? Thoughts?

@perseii
I haven't watched it. I read a bit of the manga and found myself unable to tell the characters apart, because they all look the same.

Shame that the Arslan manga has yet to catch up to the untranslated light novels. But I'm hoping it will eventually someday.

Log Horizon's anime adaptation actually managed to catch up with the published light novels. The problem is that there are 3 unpublished web novels that haven't been officially translated... and those chapters haven't concluded the story yet. While the series has not been officially "cancelled", the lack of updates from the author isn't exactly encouraging.

Doing that's fine, the anime adapts stories from the manga and novel, granted there are some hiccups here and there. It's just worth noting that Reincarnated as a Slime has a alot of spinoffs that add some extra detail if you want it.

I also reccomend

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom
Der Werewolf Annals of Veight, no anime sadly
The Twelve Kingdoms(A classic)
technically its about the weight of responsibilities that come with being a king, but there is certainly kingdom building present. I'm really excited the novel will finally get an english release in July. Been wishing that would happen for years!
