| pretty unexpected, but i love this series. sure there arent many fight scenes, but the hint of comedy everywhere is awesome. i actually thought they were going to at least beat someone big but thats prolly S2 tho tbh i was actually hoping for a dark twist like how senshis story was almost dark, or how izu (i still hate her) couldve had a dark story as well |

| Strange and familiar, clever and stupid, charming and disturbing, breezy but dramatic at times, meandering but always interesting. Looks gorgeous and consistently funny. The episode was a little disappointing as a season finale, but ending with the idea of eating monster parts to combat the dungeon's magic is in hindsight so obvious and makes so much sense for this story. I'm not sure if this is a masterpiece and I can't say I was glued to the screen throughout, but I had so much fun and I'm happy this kind of show exists. I'm definitely coming back for Season 2. |

| So, next season's goal will be to eat parts of Falin's body, well that's... something. But not that unexpected coming from this show, and especially from Laios. Anyway, this show was a lot better than I expected it to be ! I expected a simple comedy about fantasy characters obsessed with food, but it was a lot more than that and it honestly was very good ! All of the main characters were very endearing (my one complaint would be Izutsumi, who I like but has seemed pretty useless so far, and quite a forced addition to the party), most side characters were interesting as well, the comedy was great most of the time (just in those last two episodes, the characters switching races was hilarious), the world-building is surprisingly well thought-out, overall it's a very good surprise ! I still have a few criticisms, like how the switch from drama to comedy wasn't always that well-handled, or how I felt like some mid-season episodes were dragging on a bit, but still, I liked it a lot and give it a strong 7/10 ! I'm looking forward to season 2. |

 damn they really did had a industrial revolution  good cat izutzumi now the brother is preparing to cook his siter ππ. holy shit what an awesome series this was, i knew people loved it when airing because i started to watch it when airing but i din't click with first few episodes and acedemic stuff happened so i got busy and never got to watch it until now. can't wait for the season 2 to release. |
