Do you own a anime library of physical copies?

Sure streaming is all the rage these days but owning your favorites on physical copies without a crummy internet connection and subscriptions payment is a blessing sometimes. I tried watching a clip from Seraph of the End on Crunchyroll recently, but episodes available anymore for whatever reason. Same with other streaming services. It's just not available in our region which is always annoying BS. Luckily I still have the series on DVD. Always feels great being able to watch something without the restrictions and licensing issues that come with streaming. It's like giving streaming services the finger when you watch something on Blu-ray/DVD or as an MP4 digital copy offline. Physical isn't cheap by no means, but if you find a good deal, buy when you can, or already own a library of anime...IDK it's good. Pirating too :P

How many anime series do you own on Blu-ray/DVD?

I own alot of digital anime files. I hardly own any physical copies of anime. Anime isn't worth collecting physical copies of. Only manga is worth collecting physical copies of. I have many physical copies of manga books. I own very few anime DVDs/Blu Rays. I hope that answers your question.

Probably about seven. Naruto (incomplete), Dragon Ball (missing Season 5), Dragon Ball Z (complete), Dragon Ball GT (complete), Vandread (complete), Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple (none of the OVA episodes), and Death Note (recap movie of the first 25 episodes).

This is all I have, hardly a library.

Now that I'm settled in my home and know the space I've got to work with, I'm hoping to get more, although there's not loads of Anime i actually want to keep.
And even with some of these their only obtainable on bootleg, which you can already see that I have some of, and I know how terrible some of these are and I'm not totally desperate.

i've been growing a film library out of dvds of great movies i manage to find on the cheap at garage sales or thrift stores and such, and recently ive started to see more and more copies of anime titles appearing there surprisingly. so far i've got all of bebop, patlabor, and the ghost in the shell films, nearly each bundle for 3 dollars or less, so I suspect the amount of anime i physically own will grow since now its mainstream enough for me to find it through all these secondhand means

Anime physical copies isn't a worthwhile investment. Only manga is worth getting physical copies of TBH.

I don't really use streaming anymore. I mainly download torrents and buy BDs. I don't have a big enough collection of anime BDs to call it a library, at least not yet, but I'll continue buying more so it's only a matter of time before it can be considered a library. Speaking of BDs, I recently imported the Kare Kano BD from Japan, which came with a frame of the anime. That's pretty neat. Maybe I could start buying anime frames and cels?

It’s the only way I legally watch anime. Too many series to count from when I would go all out on Rightstuf sales, but now i’m more discriminating.
@Purple_Gh0st24 Was it a listing that just happened to be sold with a cel? Also curious what scene it was from. That’s sick anyhow

Over a decade ago, or maybe two, I had at the most, 8 DVD's or so. Sold them since I didn't even watch them.
Now my library consist of only my favorites in my hard drives.
Though I have a massive physical manga and light novel library. Haven't counted in a while but think there's over 1000 mangas and light novels.
