Both of them have a lot of screen time with Bakugo. Kirishima was a part of the Overhaul arc and Kaminari also has good relationships with Mineta and Jiro.

@Djwhy why do they have more favorites than really important characters like iida endeavor and shigaraki?

@Djwhy Is this why bakugo and and todoroki are more popular than deku despite being irrelevant

Kirishima is cool and has some great moments in the anime+a very fun quirk
Kaminari is a fun side character and as a Pokémon fan I can't not like him for being a Pichu reference
