| One of my personal favorite isekais is Mushoku Tensei. It does a really good job at world building and character development in my opinion. Some other ones I have really enjoyed is Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken and Overlord. Both of these have an empire building theme. Isekai Shokudou is a more slice of life orientated isekai that I also enjoyed. Hope this helps. |

| I've not seen many isekai. Not my preferred genre but if you want ones that are not tyopical then there are these that I have seen Sonny Boy Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-Kun Urasekai Picnic < This one is just ok though |

| Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! aka The Eminence in Shadow https://myanimelist.net/anime/48316/Kage_no_Jitsuryokusha_ni_Naritakute Magic, elves, and other fantasy elements but in more of a 19th century/dawn of the 20th century setting. Cid died in our world and was reborn in this one, going to on to become the enigmatic powerful warrior Shadow while his public persona he goes out of his way to be as much of an NPC as possible. Tongue is planted firmly in cheek a lot of times but there's still tons of awesome over the top action so you kind of get to have your cake and eat it too with this one. |
