(Long read, I apologize.)
Joining in with my two cents and my 'Ciel is not dead!' flag waving in the wind.. okay that being said, time to seriously crack down and drop in my two cents, dimes, nickles and everything else. haha. :]
This is what I stated in another thread:
Cher_Ciel said: I am so excited to see the second season for many reasons. 1, the anime was a clear 10/10 in my book. I fell in love with Ciel in.. maybe the fourth episode? Somewhere around there and I had already declared the anime 10. And it didn't disappoint. 2, because I bawled my eyes out at the end and it didn't even end!
I went through the entire thread and I wanted to note a couple things:
1. Ciel dying.
If there wasn't actually a shot of Ciel dead, or Sebastian taking his soul from him, then I doubt he's dead. The only thing that happens in the last episode is them floating on the river, Ciel insisting that he's dead and him asking Sebastian to make the soul removal painful, and then Sebastian moving in. -end scene- not dead. Thats the way I look at it.
2. Possible ways to cont.?
A. Ciel becomes a demon? If you think about it, when they were on the river, Ciel was basically throwing himself at Sebastian. Saying 'I'm dead, I'm dead' over and over again and basically wondering why Sebastian had not taken his soul. Only when they got off of the river did Sebastian say he wanted to take his soul then. Though, I think Sebastian might go a little soft and say 'just kidding' and turn him into a demon if that is possible.
B. Someone saves Ciel? Someone could save Ciel? I mean its possibe right? Lizzy was very upset so maybe right before Sebastian attacks him, he reconsiders and thinks its better to live instead of giving himself up to the hungry demon.
C. Sebastian has no right to take his soul anymore? When Sebastian 'leaves' Ciel, his seal doesn't glow anymore. So maybe when that happened the seal was broken? Sebastian himself even said he had no master to Ash/Angela, but then when Ciel gets shot he is suddely his master again? Seems fishy to me.
D. Kiss? Hehe.. I'd love that. :3 Nuff said.
I dunno, I want to believe that they will leave Ciel alive. Obvious. I fell in love with him the moment I watched the anime, and I cried for him when he 'died' even though this is not confirmed. I just think, that if Ciel is not in the second season, a lot of fans will be disappointed and the anime will fail as a second season even though I hope this doesn't happen. Ciel will live on! (Hopefully) Heh. :] I'm looking forward to this!
^ That being said, I now have this to say..
I also went through this entire thread, and found that most of you have the same ideas or have stumbled across the same ideas I have. Like, the fact that Sebastian's arm is gone and therefore he may not be able to take his soul due to the lack of the seal. This was only discovered by me after I watched it a second time and realized things I hadn't seen when I first viewed the anime. Ciel is also not dead in the manga. I think it seems a little pointless to have the manga and anime so completely different from each other. It just gives the author more things they need to think up, spending more time plotting and what-not, I believe as well that that is one of the reason Kuroshitsuji follows the manga pretty closely to a point. Then it began to stray of course.
Before I would gladly say "turn the anime into a Ciel x Sebastian please~!" but now that you think about it, Sebastian does not care. Like at all. I don't think there is ever a point in the anime that there will be an open spot for Ciel x Sebastian. However, I do pedict there will be more fanservice like the corset scene when Ciel was dreaming. -recalls and drools- I will be very happy if they make the circus arc and the murder in the mansion only because 1) Ciel as Smile? Come on.. whats not to love? He's a doll. :] 2) Ciel in shackles? Uhh.. hello.. that's hot right derr. The only things I do have to say negetive about those two are: 1) In the anime they draw Ciel's slave mark in the wrong position, so if Doll/Freckles pulls his shirt up where will they put the mark? 2) In the murder in the mansion, Ciel is starting to show emotions to the booksmith that he doesn't show anyone else. Like the fact that he had no one to comfort him when he was scared of afraid.
I know I'm just rambling, I'm like a hyper fan for Kuroshitsuji. Number one, and if not at least the top three. I will fight anyone for this position. haha.
I really am getting annoyed with this whole Ciel is not dead and Ciel is dead fued. I feel its a lot like Team Edward or Team Jacob in Twilight. (Team Ciel dead and Team Ciel not dead.) This is not solid proof anywhere in the last episode that Ciel is dead. A dead body was not shown, Sebastian eating a soul was not shown, and you would think Sebastian would comment about this soul he had just eaten that was so amazing he choose to wait for Ciel instead of eating random souls again. That being said, there is not proof that Ciel died in the end. However, where is the proof he is alive? Currently there is none as well because nothing was stated. Regardless, there is still many more ways Ciel could be alive than he could be dead.
And.. if my baby is dead I will have to hurt someone. haha. I'm gonna be a moma bear potecting her cub when it comes to Ciel and forums like this. I always go in and rawr people out who are on Team Ciel dead. Honestly pople don't really think about it or they are just not true fan enough for them to take a second and realize the things they are accusing are wrong.
I haven't heard it confirmed that Ciel is dead. I have heard that Ciel and Sebastian will be in the season season, however I have not seen it for myself written down by a member working on the manga/anime that he is in fact going to be in it.
Even if we wish to think that Ciel is not dead, even if he is not dead will it still go on with Ciel? What if they decide to go in a whole other direction? Just because Ciel isn't dead does not mean they will stick with Ciel with the anime (even though I hope to god they do). Theres just a lot of things to consider and it's pretty obvious that they are keeping their fans in the dark about it by releasing as little information as possible. There isn't even a plot that is readable anywhere. No information. I think its mainly for promotion purposes as well. If people are waiting so egarly for it, they are more likely to watch it and buy the show as soon as it comes out because the information has been so hush hush.
This is just my insanely long two cents haha. I am a huge Kuroshitsuji fan, and would like to see Ciel in the second season along with Sebastian at his side. Though, considering some of the facts and the fact that they are keeping it so hush hush, maybe they are trying not to let it out that Ciel and/or Sebastian will be absent from the anime. Just something to consider.
Also, in a none serious note.. did anyone else find it comical that Ciel named Sebastian after the dog he and his family kept? I just found it funny for some reason since Sebastian completely detests dogs. Also, more fanservice will be loved. ( Like the ghost dog arc, with Ciel in shackles mhm. :] ) |
