| What a weak case. They keep repeating "this is an insider case, it has to be someone from the inside" and somehow nobody checks the suspects' bodies ? The police does it in every other case, but the one time it would lead to something they don't ? Pathetic. |

| I knew the hint with the coughing that the butler must be suspicious and it was not a red herring. But for the rest of describing the crime execution I had not clue. |
| The rivalry between mothers continues on even after 20 years. Kogoro definitely chose the absolute worst dialogue option at the end there. |

| Did anyone feel bad for the victim's brother-in-law: Fujieda Shigeru? Because I sure did. I was hoping he would get the inheritance somehow because, after all, the victim (Mikio) got all his money by marrying his late wife (Shigeru's sister.) But I guess you can't have it all. I'll pretend Shigeru will have a bright future ahead of him and maybe he could finally release a good novel. I can't help hoping for what's best for him. Especially when he said he had to pay rent to stay at his brother-in-law's house—his sister's house. |
