This episode flew by so quickly. Taiga got rejected, but she's still not quitting! I also love Ryuuji's kindness!

I didn't notice the parrot's hair falling out...

I didn't want to be that pole.

Everyone thought they had something serious, she left the room all messed up, I wish I had seen it.

After that out they will get along fine.

all of a sudden, Taiga just begins having breakfast at Ryuji's house for no reason in the cold opening

And already, she has these moments of weakness? He's nice at the worst moments, eats his cookies no matter how they look ruined, and everybody see and jump to conclusions, in a very School Rumble-esque situation. Her rant returning home and hitting the pole seemed childish but for different reasons was more relatable than i'd like to admit when i had the same age (to be honest, it still seems weird that she lives on her own flat even i've already seen independent minors living alone and attending high school)

And... she's the one being friendzoned, sort of before the word became of common use.

What an absolute kind of awkward confession imho but I respect Taiga xd

All in all this 2nd episode went by damn quick I didn't realize which means I'm enjoying this so far.

I looked back at the oldest comments and no wonder this story felt like it was being speedrun: it covered eight chapters in two episodes and cut some content.

Taiga puts on a front to feel like she has control when she knows she has nothing. Takasu is only sticking around because he can see her insecurities and is willing to help her, as if she is a feral kitten that keeps biting its new owner. I guess the rest of the series is based on her gradual character development while also milking as much tsundere brattiness out of her as possible. I'm expecting them to only confess to each other on the final episode with no actual content depicting their relationship post-confession, because that's how most school romance anime work.

Moderate improvement from the first episode, likely because Taiga's absurd behaviour was toned down. In fact, the "kicking the lamppost" scene was actually rather endearing in how it provided both Ryuuji and Taiga a childish, yet still gratifying way of bonding through both their hang-ups.
