Stark and Fern should be what Himmel and Frieren couldn’t be. Is it just me or does the anime make it seem like Frieren was in love with Himmel but realized it to late. Since humans age quicker than elves. That’s why she’s going on an adventure to Heaven so she can see and talk to Himmel and why all her flashbacks have to do with Himmel and the look on her face when she thinks back on him and the things they done and what he said

She may not have been in love with him but was surely the closest with him which is why he’s constantly involved

It's pretty obvious they will end togheter but:

- Just in the very end of the series, in the epilogue after the final climax, whatever it may be;

- After they part ways with Momma Frieren;

- And absolutelly there will be NO kiss. This is not that kind of story, nor the author.

It is obvious that they will be together in the futur but for now Fern is more like the big sister/mother figure in this group. Also, she have a strong twisted mind to always think that Stark actions hide some perverted thoughts lmao but their chimestry is really enjoyable.
