| Attack on Titan was the anime series that started me on the journey to watching and loving anime. I cannot express how thankful I am that this series exists. It also brought so many more people into anime than anyone could have ever dreamed of. AOT 2013-2023 An Era Defineing anime.  |

| 10 years watching this anime, the ending...well its not good, but still the production was absurdly insane, it was atleast fun if you isolate the rest. But for a franchise like this, it not deserved a ending like this. |

| Shit, it's really over now. Took like a 46 billion years but it's over. All and all, I thought Mappa did a fantastic job on adapting this final part to the final season. Everything was really top tier in terms of quality and I thought it was even better adapted than how it was in the manga. Of course the ending itself is alright, like it's the most 'ending' sorta ending ever ya know? Like it just feels like an end to a series but that's just it, an end to a series. But never the less, good series and it got an alright ending. |

| I find it hilarious how in the first few pages of this thread all the manga ending haters rushed in to say how the ending sucks while watching the raw claiming they don't need subtitles cause they know the manga lines. 9 hours later, the official subs come out and the most controversial scene from the manga is almost entirely changed. I didn't mind that scene in the manga at all but the anime still made it 100x better. |

| I didn't hate this ending in the manga and I don't here, but it does suffer from the same pacing and character development issues the rest of the rumbling arc suffered from. That being said, I much prefer this version of Eren and Armin's conversation in the paths, though it's still a bit rushed, at least Armin has a stronger reaction to... you know, Eren fucking murdering 80% of mankind, and the whole "thank you for committing genocide for our sake" thing was removed (thank God) for a moment that serves the intended purposed of the scene much better, with Armin questioning Eren's motivations and finding out that this started with something both of them had in common: The dream of achieving freedom by seeing the outside world as they believed it had no other humans. It's a really huge improvement, I just wish they also made changes to the other twists that just get revealed there without further elaboration, like Ymir being in love with King Fritz and Eren being responsible for his mother's death, but eh, I'll take what they're giving me. |

| Wow last time I checked their wasn't that much difference between 5/5 and 1/5 rating and now roughly we have 60% 5/5 and 18% 1/5 rating lol. Look like anime onlys are liking this episode. |

| After this I'm actually really confused with the backlash the ending got, everything while tragic was stilled wrapped up neatly - maybe I just watch to many tragedies but this was the ending that made the most sense imo |

| At long last, the actual, for real this time, final final part is here and filled with so many of the things that made so many of us enjoy this series over the decade that it hung around. As expected, the story's climax was action-packed with great animation and the OST never disappoints. Love seeing the animators flex their skills when they animate the ODM movement. And setting aside the action for a sec, the emotional parts of this finale hit pretty hard too. Re-reading this last batch of chapters this morning, then watching this made me realize that tbh....the ending honestly wasn't THAT bad lol. Sure it may not have been ideal, but it ended the way it needed to, even if Isayama potentially wrote himself into a corner. Idk, I was never part of the crowd that threw tantrums like little babies when the manga ending first came out anyway, so maybe that's why I feel this way as I re-experience it 2 years later. I think the staff did a good job of adding a more emotional impact to the ending though. Well, it's finally over. It's been a hell of a decade-long run for the anime but all things must come to an end sooner or later. I still think the whole "final season spanning nearly 3 years" thing is goofy, but what can you do when you acquire a monster like this series under the circumstances in which Mappa acquired it. So long, AOT, it was quite the ride. Oh and one more thing, even if this ending wasn't the greatest, I'm just happy Mappa stuck to it (as most sane people expected them to) and they didn't do an anime-original thing. The suffering of the people on that hardcore "muh AOE" copium makes me so happy, and I'm glad they didn't get what they wanted 🙏🙏🙏 |

@xenosys U didnt understand what happened thats why u dont know why manga readers hated it. I dont have time to type whole stupid story Isayama pulled starting from Part 1 but I will give u a hint : Forced Avengers.
| @gamibo I understood it perfectly. I didn't say it was perfect and it had some flaws, but I was expecting a proper ass ending, and it was anything but. Was actually surprised how decent it was. As I've said, some Attack on Titan manga fans, especially those that stick to certain sub-reddits and forums are some of the worst out of any fanbase I've seen on any series. Some of their head-canon over the last two years has been laughable. They've essentially managed to gaslight the entire anime community into thinking it was going to be one of the worst endings in the medium, and I've seen far worse, this year alone. Instead of admitting that it may not be as bad as you'd secretly hoped, as you've had a hate boner for this for 18 months now, you'll still continue to gaslight people people who watch it into thinking they don't understand it. |

| Thank you for everything SNK <3 I don't have the words to say what a pure MASTERPIECE this last episode is. It's late (5 a.m. in France), but an anime like this has never put me in such a mood and... it's complicated to speak with an open heart after having loved and enjoyed this masterpiece I think I will have a very good memory of the last scenes, of this anime in general which gave me chills throughout, thank you, thank you and thank you again |
