DOKE__HYOU said: Meh Disappointed ending the author is a coward can’t kill a character from the agency This show supposed to be a seinen but it’s a shounen more than any shounen I think it's a seinen purely because it's got a good story beyond action and is a little more grounded and gets dark/gory... But yeah it really can get super Shounen whenever characters are injured or in danger (or whenever Atsushi and Akutagawa fight each other or together) |

This ending felt a lot simpler than i would had expected. But I guess concluding bromance is important. Fyodor still can be alive with some ass pull like teleport and some cure all abilities. Look at what looks like Fukuchi's possessed body flying around. |

BSD was always very consistent throught every season, which is very impressive imo and stands for quality writing. Great characters and great mixture of comedy, action and badassery from S1 till S5, but the MC is kind of a letdown for me. I wish for more MC moments in future and more of Dazai and Chuuya flashbacks and shenanigans, cause they are my favs. AOTY 2023 definetly not, cause Vinland Saga S2 was 10/10π₯. |

Damn. What a great final. I’m nearly speechless. I’ll stop myself here to avoid just repeating “x GOATed” over and over. Absolutely did not disappoint. Though on a final note, I suspect that won’t be the last we see of Fyodor. Via not dying or some sort of plan activated on his death etc. |

The convoluted plot is good, but what's better is the studio's ability to adapt such a complex story into the anime that is both understandable and entertaining. |

Wow, what a finale. Even though the conflict got wrapped up, things definitely don't feel "over" to the point where everyone can happily call it a day until next time. I mean shit, that post-credit scene is taking place just TWO hours later. Talk about things escalating quickly and not being able to get a breather. So Dazai lived, as expected lol, and it turns out Chuuya was never even a vampire to begin with. Dazai always has something up his sleeve, that's for sure. For some reason I have a hard time believing that Fyodor is actually dead, but RIP to a dope villain if he is. That final conversation between Fukuchi and Fukuzawa was done so beautifully. The direction was amazing and the ED playing in the background was the icing on the cake. Such an emotional scene between former best friends. Fukuchi was an amazing antagonist. Farewell to yet another fantastic season of BSD. Definitely the best one yet. Based on what I'm reading from others, we're more or less caught up to the manga, so I guess we'll be waiting a while before season 6. Well, I'm sure the wait will be worth it. |
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime. Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait. MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol. |

Softhenic03 said: Aya’s desperate attempts of no use could’ve just led to one conclusion… her pulling something along the lines of a suicide. Yep, she literally jumped off the building, only to increase the overall weight to pull out the holy sword… and she succeeded as well. And let’s just say, she ain’t the only one who did… … Fukuzawa who was literally dead this whole while, WOKE UP ALL OF A SUDDEN, AND HECK FUCKING COUNTERED FUKUCHI… only to succeed, I mean kind of convenient how the op sword was stuck within Fukuzawa that whole while and Fukuchi couldnt make use of it, and then proceeding to stop the invasion as well. YES, THE INVASION HAS STOPPED, though this ain’t the only groundbreaking one-eighty we did this episode… as the one and only, GOAT Dazai somehow made his return as well lmaooooooooooo. DAZAI is alive, Dazai is kicking, Dazai outsmarted Fyodor….. AND DEATH FAKEOUTS HAVE OFFICIALLY BECOME A THEME OF BUNGO STRAY DOGS. I like this series, I really do, but again the same explanations of how our main guys got the best of villains through those good ol’ ways of them NOT noticing something very crucial got me dying lol. Fyodor is DEAD, Fukuchi is DEAD, and this for every reason feels like an ending they sorted for this adaptation and adaptation alone. I mean they’re main villains lol, you couldn’t have both of them dead just like that. So, they concluded as happily as they could have, even somehow redeeming Fukuchi lol. Not sure if we'd have the same happenings in the next chapter of the manga as well, but for now, one went away, and we have a new bunch playing the villains. A new instalment? have you watched till the end tho? i don't think fukuchi is dead based on what akutagawa said or maybe there's some sorta plot twist that no one expected |

Had the right idea with Aya jumping and Dazai/Chuuya working together for this outcome, Fukuzawa straight up alive was kinda meh. Anyone who thinks Fyodor is actually dead needs to think again, no way this guy is gone with unanswered stuff (his power, his conversation with Sigma) and he might even have a hand with the insane fight that i just saw at the last minute, what was that??? Fourthousandbees said: Vlad4o said: Honestly, the episode felt kind of rushed. Like Bones wanted to tie everything up as fast as possible and move on to the next conflict. The thing is, what the hell is the next conflict? Asagiri hasn't written anything past this arc, and this arc itself isn't even over in the manga. This definitely feels anime original more than what was actually intended to be the finale of the story, though I could be wrong, since I've read that Asagiri has heavily involved in the making of this season, so this could be rough drafts of what's coming in the future. Though the way Fyodor went out was kind of underwhelming. We still have no idea what his ability is, but I guess we figured out his true goal. Speaking of which, I predicted that Fukuchi and Fyodor's goal would have something to do with preventing another Great War from happening, considering how much of an emphasis the war was given this and last season, and both the manga and light novels have been hinting at a Great War 2 being on the horizon. The Order of the Clocktower will most likely been involved in it too. Anyone who's read the manga will know what I'm talking about. On the flip side, the way Fukuchi went out was pretty satisfying and I think it was good sendoff to the character. There's some tragedy to it, since the two people that loved him the most had to put him down like rabid dog in the end. Fukuzawa mourning his friend in the end was quite heartbreaking. Sigma is in a coma and Dazai doesn't give two shits it seems. Poor guy. Though that those beg the question, what did Sigma learn about Fyodor? And will it actually be relevant in the future now that Fyodor is dead? Or is he actually dead? His last words in particular were interesting. "My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me". Are the writers making a Jesus allegory with him? Does that mean he's not actually dead? There's just too much left unanswered. Despite this being the ending, it's not really an ending. And we now have confirmation that the anime isn't over, so that just makes me wonder what will happen next. Overall, I liked a lot in this episode, but I do have some gripes too. Ooh those were Fyodors last words? Yeah ok I’m very confident that he’s alive, or at least coming back in some way. His death definitely felt underwhelming. @-Atrixa- Sigma said that he HAS to tell dazai about fyodor's ability. If his ability were only to kill people by touching, they wouldn't make such a mystery about that (even if this ability would fit to the book crime and punishment) and we could only see his arm. But the question is, how could he survive? He was restrained by the vampires, seriously injured and still poisoned. So he couldn't make it out without help. Could Nicolai have helped him? The possibility exists because we didn't see what Nicolai did when the helicopter hit the tower. Fyodor talks a lot about Christianity, saying that its ability to save his life or even revive him under certain circumstances would not be unthinkable. An ability that allows him to permanently transfer his consciousness to another body wouldn't be too far-fetched considering that he sees himself as a chosen one. However, there are still 3 options. The first would be the enemy at the end. He used the time-space katana. If he somehow managed to turn back time a little and thereby save Fyodor, it wouldn't be out of character for bsd. The second possibility would be that Nicolai somehow revives him with the page from the book. The book can manipulate reality and Nicolai seemed as if he was really sad about the death of his friend (?). And the last one is, that his death was a part of his plan. Fyodor didn't think as far ahead as he normally does in the last episode. He didn't even has a doubt that Chuuya might not be under his control after all and he wanted to disappear from the safest prison in a helicopter, even though he had a person right next to him who can teleport himself and other people. Even if it is sheep, it could also be that he really died. His last words could have been meant exactly as he said them. After all, everything that had happened before was precisely planned by him until it went wrong in the end. Fyodor's look also seemed more like he had already accepted his death |

Embient said: And here is the episode where even the manga readers don't know what's going to happen! (by the way, the chapters adapted last episode came out while this season was airing, right? If this is true than this confirms that the mangaka and Bones were cooperating.) Aya is alive! And Bra-chan looking good too. DAZAI IS NOT DEAD YEEEEAH! And I didn't expect that Chuuya reveal. I thought Dazai controlled him somehow. 10:40 "Eli Eli Lama Sabachthani?" the opening words of Psalm 22 in Aramaic, translated as "My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me" in the King James Version. I somehow actually believe that Fyodor is dead. Who will be the villain now? 12:10 error: Fukuchi not Fukuzawa So I guess the true goal of the Decay of the Angel was uniting all military in the world? 15:13 ιε£ (kinton) - mashed sweet potatoes. 15:21 γ»γγθΆ (houjicha) - roasted green tea. 17:41 "no more than 500 lives" So he completely trusted Fukuzawa huh... I wonder what'd happen if he failed. Now what will Fukuzawa do with that knowledge... 21:14 Kyoka and Lucy! They barely appeared this season damn. What is that ending? Who is that? They have the Amenogozen? What's up with Akutagawa's outfit? Hooooly damn no one can catch a break here. So exciting! At the end I'm pretty sure it says ζͺδΊ (miryou) - "unfinished; unfilled (order); unexecuted". Took me some time to understand what is the first kanji. An absolutely epic and amazing season once again. 9/10 Now the story will continue in the manga and we will have to wait years for another season. This reminds me of Made in Abyss (how the adaptation is already announced even though there are not enough chapters) For now I hope Bones focues on MHA. Or maybe the studio that made BSD (I heard that studios can be separated to work on different series at the same time) will work on something else. And why did I keep writing such damn long comments the whole season lol. I read the whole thing. Very nice observations!! |

so lots of stuff are quickly skipped over in anime. world apparently ends in 2 hours somehow fukuchi was able to go 36 years in past. dunno how considering it can go only 10 seconds into past. so fyodor was evil after alll and he dead, no one knows what happens to sigma later or what was read. akutagawa is sporting a knight mask for some reason. fukuchi fail, how did the loli stab him from behind immediately without fukuzawa noticing 500 people only dead? i think thats bs i will wait 4 manga to come out. and obviously fukuchi's plan was totes flawed considering someone else came 2hrs later to wreck shit. you cant create world peace by making all armies one. its dicktatorship and it is just dicktatorship vs everynyan else. what tfdid the loli tell to atsushi so many questions. how tf did fyodor not check whether chuuyas really bit 9/10 coz as questionable it was it was entertaining. kafka release manga chapters whem |
Without change,we end up becoming the very person we hate. I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was bound to lead me to a slow death. |

Not entirely sure who that was at the end. They had the purple time sword so was that fukuzawa?? What happened?? I guess we will find out in season 6. I’m really happy with how everything turned out. I don’t think fyodor is dead. I’m not really sure about sigma he actually might be dead. The whole episode I was just waiting to see akutugawa return so seeing him in that badass looking armour at the end had my hyped af. Given that apparently from what I heard the author gave the animators what would happen so that the anime adaptation is slightly ahead of the manga this could mean we get season 6 sooner than we think. Great ending which left me hyped for season 6 |

Now definitely gonna binge LightNovel! Yep btw there is no Light novel bro. Only manga and the anime already kinda went ahead of it π. Author gave the next chapter plots to the anime studio in advance. Actually there is a light novel with side stories which is actually where dead apple and the ranpo/fukuchi past story in season 4 come from |

So how was Fyodor getting information from the outside world? We never saw that anyone in that cell interacting with anyone from outside the cell... A bit lame of an ending but wonder what happened to the page, maybe it got fucked with and that's why Akutagawa is cosplaying and why Fukuchi is alive again and dancing around in the sky with the new fit. |

This episode was PERFECTION itself. It was one of the most emotional episodes i ever seen in my life, and i already saw many. MASTERPIECE. Fukuzawa's and Fukuchi's scenes were just beautiful and gave us such a warm atmosphere. The second half of it just made me cry so much. Finally that **shole Fyodor was beaten. And Dazai outsmarted him SO hard. I knew Asagiri wouldn't let his most popular character die!!! And of course also trusted Dazai's intelligence. Glad to see the series going up in the score that hard, it was also for me a 10/10 season. And we even get blessed with a 6th one it seems. What a wonderful day!!! |
