Some time has passed now since the season has finished.
I did re-watch the season recently. Initially I thought the season was pretty bad, but now that I re-watched it... my opinion remains the same. This season simply has no flow to it, the pacing was horrible and the fights were a let down. The antagonists were boring and weak, to the point where I never felt any "danger" for the "good" characters.
Previous seasons all had memorable episodes / fights. Season 1 had episode 19, the movie had probably one of the best fights and season 2 was good all around. Whereas this season missed all the points.

Disclaimer: this is my opinion so take it as it is.

Yeah it was a weaker season, but I don't think it's bad by any means. Ufotable has had a crazy good run with demon slayer, and any slowing down can feel like a drop off.
As for iconic episodes, I forget the episode number, but the episode with mitsuri fighting upper moon 4 was really iconic. that shot of her out running those wooden dragons was fucking sick. I think it might have been the last episode, the one that's 45 min long.

It was fun. Not as flashy as S2, but I liked the fights as always. I did hear that this was one of the best arcs from manga readers, which is weird because it wasn’t crazy good. But it’s still really enjoyable.

I agree with you. Entertainment District arc was a 9 and this was a 5. I wouldn’t believe you if you told me the same team created both products.

Both are 5/10 material tbh. Demon Slayer as a whole is pretty mid and the animation carries it.

this season was boring compared to the other seasons of Demon slayer.....
there wasn't any good fights where you like the good characters are gonna loss or die.
the anime character motivations were not really that good.
I was expecting something better than this but I guess the humor was good in a kind of way.

Correction to one thing. Uzui was weak af. Which therefore made gyutaro look strong.

Gyokko was strong. Muichiro nearly died and was saved by kotetsu. if he wasn’t marked probably would have died as well.

I can’t really understand how you even think hantengu is weak. He literally nearly killed tanjiro and mitsuri. Once he let zohakuten out he was literally destroying them without even moving.

If zohakuten done a better job at hiding hantengu then he would have won.

But whatever it’s your opinion and I respect it. Personally I preferred this season a lot more. Overall the villains and hashira i preferred a lot more. I feel like this season showed you don’t need epic fights for a crazy season.

It furthered the story by giving us questions like what is the mark on muichiro and mitsuri? Who is upper moon one? Who is the man in tanjiro’s dream? Of course I know all these questions because I read the manga.

The backstory for muichiro was done very well. Overall I believe this season was done much better than season 2. Especially the final episode.

But this is just my opinion. Please no hate.

I wouldn’t say this is the one of the best arcs but still very good and personally my favourite arc that has been adapted so far.

The last 2 arcs of the series would be the best.

And I’m almost 100% certain any other manga reader can agree with me on that.

Since the reason tanjirou has joined the ds academy (or whatever you call it) and has already accomplished his main goal, I don't think there's anything interesting left to the story.

Tanjiro’s goal hasn’t been accomplished. His goal was to cure his sister and take down muzan.

His sister is still a demon she’s just able to walk in the sun.

I couldn’t disagree more. This season had plenty of memorable moments. Tanjiros bright red sword and muichiro’s fifth form were my favorite fight scenes, but I thought the entire battle was amazing. Ep 8 and 11 were masterpieces in my opinion. We also got upper moon meeting and some muzan backstory this arc, which was cool. And, the animation quality and sound design were top tier as always. Idk why you think upper 4/5 are weak and boring. They were obviously stronger than upper 6. Gyokko is underrated af, his abilities are cracked compared to gyutaro’s. I feel like you aren’t accounting for tanjiro’s growth, muichiro’s talent, and the significance of demon slayer marks, which are why no main characters died. Overall, it’s probably my favorite season thus far. I thought it was very well done.

Gyutaro is weaker than Hantengu and Gyokko, but the Gyutaro vs Tengen fight was far more balanced than the Mitsuri vs Hantengu and Muichiro vs Gyokko fights making Gyokko and Hantengu look weaker than they actually were.

The biggest sin this season committed is completely ruining my immersion by ruining the power scaling. this far in this series the power scaling has been alright, they did a great job in season 1 with tanjiro barley being able to stay alive while fighting the lower rank 5 we get a good sense of the strength of both the demons and the hashira. it also gives us a good idea of how far tangiro has to go. they keep to this scale for the next 2 arcs as we fight stronger and stronger demons. come season 3 tanjiro pretty much single handedly takes down 2 up demons WHILE HE IS STILL RECOVERING FROM THE PREVIOUS ARC!! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK HAPPENED?!??!? HOW DID MANS GO FROM BARELY TAKING DOWN UPER DEMON 6 WITH A HASHIRA PRETTY MUCH CARRYING HIM TO CARRYING HASHIRAS?!??! BRO WHAT?!?!?

It became more and more painful to watch through this every single week. I don't drop anime because I'm a completionist so I watched every episode until the end, watching the finale while I was at the beach.
(If you pull the "oh if u dont like it, why dont u drop it" bullshit on me, I will hunt you down)

The finale was okay, the rest was not.

Yeah, I agree with you as this season was pretty mid and wasn't that interesting or that much hype. The fights were mediocre and the villains were mid. The Infinity Castle Arc will be better when its animated but we have the hashira training arc do that will be dull.

Don't give a correction that's incorrect. Pre-marks Uzui is arguably the 2nd-3rd strongest hashira, you may have your opinion but that's just a fact. Uzui's stats are second strongest physically, fastest runner, second most experienced. He's able to lift the heaviest sword in the series by the tip with two fingers, and the only reason he didn't instantly annihilate Gyutaro along with Daki is due to poison effect and civilians in the room preventing his explosive abilities to being used. At that time, any other hashira in his place would've lost, likely even Gyomei. Whereas Muichiro is the 2nd weakest physically, one of the slowest and the least experienced. He in a later fight gets very outclassed by an unmarked hashira that explicitly states the only reason he fared better was due to being more experienced. In contrary to Uzui who got heavily nerfed by the circunstances, Muichiro got one shotted, and only didn't die immediately because he got carried by a random swordsmith and plot giving him a mark. It's the other way around, plot made Uzui look weak, this is not DBZ where greater power level wins

i think with demonslayer this is the best to say " save the best for last"

last season with fighting hantegu was in my opinion mid but also not that bad,

ive readed the manga and i know after hashira arc the anime isnt going to be mid anymore.
its just the story build up thats a bit slow but i dont mind that.

even its a mid anime i like the slow build up and backstorys before the real shit is going down for the last 2 seasons after hashira arc.

actually, this season is personally my favorite season so far. I'm not going to go into incredible detail as to why, but I will say that it's incredibly refreshing to see tanjiro act like a real person and not be able to decide whether to save nezuko or the others, instead of doing the thing where he's like "I'll save all of them".

Story is still forming, it’s isn’t at it’s peak yet. So, I think, we'll get some intense action.

Although, in my opinion, the fight with the FEAR demon was good enough. They put a lot of work into it.
And Nezuko's Evolvement is a very big turning point to the story. So, this season wasn’t bad that much considering these facts.

Animation is also good enough. I agree, animation could have been more better. Then, the season would need more budgets and more works - that means, this would have aired later from present.

No offence to anyone’s opinion.
The needs to progress more advance, the. we'll be able to witness more intense action fights that would be mesmerizing.

I guess I can understand that a bit. More so with gyokko’s fight. But I can understand if they had to sacrifice some quality of animation and make it rough in certain areas.

Because there gonna have to spend a while on the next upcoming fights. The next arc don’t really have any crazy fights.

But it’s the 2 after that which have a ton of insane fights.

It didn't feature boar guy or blonde guy so it was automatically better than season 2. Also we actually got 10 minutes worth of plot progression, which is also more than season 2.

The pacing was the big problem. The fighting actually started pretty earlier, like episode 2 or 3, but I didn't feel that there was enough to fill the remaining 9 episodes, so the fights seem to drag. And everytime it was starting to get good the episode would end on a cliffhanger.
As short as it would be, I feel this season should've had around 8 episodes, around 30-40 minutes each. I think it would help with the pacing a lot. The story is what it is.

Yeah, I thought this season was pretty boring. Coming after the Entertainment District Arc made it worse. The first half of the Entertainment District Arc could be considered boring, but the climax makes up for it ten-fold.

I started reading the manga during this season, caught up, and finished this arc before the anime ended. I knew everyone was going to be disappointed too.

idc on opinions about this season, i thought it was decent. Nothing more nothing less. But it annoys me when people think gyokko is weaker than gyyutaro or however u spell his name. First off, muichiro is stronger than tengen. The only thing tengen is better at then muichiro is speed. Apart from that muichiro beats him easily. That’s probably why people think um6 is stronger than um5 - But tengen is actually one of the weaker hashiras. Secondly, muichiro had to unlock his demon slayer mark to beat gyokko, and the demon slayer mark increases a hashira’s power immensely. Search up any ranking of hashira’s and they’ll agree with what i said bruh.
The only reason i’d say gyyutaro is harder to beat is because he’s linked with his sister so a 1v2 would be very hard. But pitting 2 hashira’s against gyokko has a much higher chance of failure than pitting the same 2 against gyyutaro

This arc was the worst arc in the manga, so I had fewer expectations to begin with. Ufotable did a great job, but it wasn't enough to make me like this season.

This arc is generally considered as the weakest arc in demon slayer by most of its fans. I don't know where you heard that from. The best arc is the infinity castle arc. It starts right after Hashira training (the next arc) and its pretty long. It also contains some of the best fights and some pretty emotional moments.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

On social media you have manga fans saying like “anime only’s aren’t ready for this.” And then it’s usually good, but nothing ground breaking. Overall though, it was a good little season. UFOtable did well as always.
The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

This arc is generally considered as the weakest arc in demon slayer by most of its fans. I don't know where you heard that from. The best arc is the infinity castle arc. Oh now I see what you meant. Those people were just hyping up certain moments in this arc. Its because only this arc was airing. I don't think they meant that this is the best arc. They just meant to point out some good upcoming moments of this particular airing arc.

Generally speaking, this arc is considered as the weakest Kny arc. If you think this was good then the infinity castle arc will be mind blowing.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

It wasn't bad. Was good , entertaining enough but not nearly as great as the previous season. Felt underwhelmed watching it except for the ending. Maybe, it was because I had such high expectations after watching "Entertainment District Arc".

I liked it well enough but Tokito and Mitsuri's backstories bored me to tears.
