Why they made the alternative couple that won't succeed so much better than with Akane :'( Though Yamada taking care of her when she's sick was cute

Finally we're getting to the good part! I hope in the next episode they finally get closer! The "I have to care for the sick person" episodes can have some of hte cutest moments and even a kiss or a confession in them, so I'm already excited!

Screaming crying throwing up at how much Yamada cares for Akane. The lengths he went for her!!!
And they are both so good for each other. I love them so much and cannot wait for them to be together

akane's cold wasn't that unbelievable. i was like that every time i got covid and every timei got the flu after that.
it's refreshing to see someone get taken to the hospital when they're feeling that bad. yamada is a reasonable person and that doesn't make him less kind.

i feel for tsubaki. ); because this isn't a matter of her being likeable or not, it's just that she felm for the wrong person. there's nothing wrong with her.

and i've made my peace with this anime being a story about falling in love and not about a couple being in love. we'll probably get to the end that will be them getting together and well, that's the story here.

I already personally related to Yamada more than I thought I would so far, but this episode hit the nail on the head for me.
It's genuinely baffling that I came across I character I could relate to so much just from trying out a random anime because a friend recommended it.
The scene where Yamada remembers his childhood friend thanking him for the way he treated her made me cry for 20 minutes straight, in a time of my life where I thought I've become desensitized to most emotions.

Not to mention the episode was just overall great, the characters all feel as realistic as they ever did, the studio seemed to have put more attention to the animation this episode, there were a handful of really cute moments, and overall this episode alone might bump up my overall score for this whole series.

That being said, if I was Yamada at the time where Akane collapsed in the streets, she'd be probably dead by now due to sheer incompetence on my part. :P
