I have guilty pleasure for the show and there's one thing that have been bothering me. Ive been wondering, will that girl Akane from ep 1 appear later on in the series? I haven't seen her done anything to the story, just get kidnapped and didn't even scream for help at the abandoned building scene. So can anyone spoil for me if she's gonna add something to the story later on?

I think she's basically Cid's big sister since they both look more or less the same plus I doubt she gonna show up coz if she did they she ended up dying like Kageno.

She returns currently in the manga. In the Vol 4 of the Light Novel and will return in a future season 3 of the anime

Shadow garden ends up back in sid’s original world and one of the shades abducts her to the other world

She has returned in the LN and has been abducted by beta and taken to the other world but we haven't seen her make any appearances yet, perhaps In volume 6.

Well she will appear in the season 2 along with our Cid but she isn't going to have any kind of impact in the story.Following manga now .Not a novel reader so don't know anything about the after story.
