There are 2 threads about it mate, why create another one?

Anyway, the CGI fish is actually quite good, I've seen bad CGI and this is definitely not it, in fact, I believe the CGI fish blends pretty well with the dark atmosphere of the last 2 episodes and I usually complain about bad CGI.

To some people, it may look weird or bad but I say the CGI fish makes them look more "creepy" and this is actually a good thing.

It is actually very well made. Especially if compared to other examples of CG in other shows.
It perfectly encapsulated the creepiness of that Fish Demon with it's unnatural design and erratic movement, which simply couldn't be conveyed in 2D.
But that two orange koi were simply beautiful. I had to take a closer look to notice that they are in fact CG. They looked that good.

it's fine. nothing that is deserving of hate, really. people are only focusing on the fish when ufotable is delivering 12/10 in every other aspect, which makes the show one of the best, in terms of adaptation/production imo. also, if you want to experience real bad cgi, just watch ex-arm or berserk (2016).

i would say the cgi fish was great... if this were any other show. dont get me wrong, its good cgi and its intergrated decently. but therein lies the problem. decent does not meet the standards demon slayer has set for itself in terms of animation. the resons for this are that you can tell that the cgi is slightly smoother than the rest of the animation, and the reflections on the fishes eye are too detailed for the shows style. this makes it stand out that little bit too much from the rest of the show and its a little bit jarring. its not enough to make me lower my rating of the show, hiwever i havent been impressed by the rest of the shows action either, the doll fight was better than the upper 4 fight (i havent seen the most recent episode as of writing this) which is a little bit disappointing

I think it's good and bad. first off I should say that I don't like cgi, now that doesn't mean I think cgi is bad. cgi can be a very useful thing but I will always prefer non cgi. but trying not to include bias I don't think the fish was too bad.

The fish monster is the worst CGI I've ever seen from UFO.
They usually done better at merging cgi models with the world/ scene by adding some smart lighting.
However this fish cgi monster looks out of place and super jarring.
MAYBE they want us to think that way so they intentionally not bland the cgi monster well or maybe they're just lazy, we'd never know.

Some anime series has more subtle but overall better animation as a whole but people usually dont even notice/ care cuz is not Sakuga moment.

To be fair the out-of-place looking CGI fish actually make them creepier, those fish indeed don't look like it belongs there, they look so alien.

Honestly? it looks bad to me. You can immediately see that these fish are artificial and look bad. I've seen worse CGI, but I've also seen much, muuuch better.
As Ufotable is considered one of the best studios in terms of animation, their CGI is terrible for me. I still remember those horrible tentacles from Mugen train ;/
I don't know if people really like this or if they defend it just because it's Ufotable...

Looked amazing. I love ufotable’s usage of CGI, they incorporate it really well. Looking forward to seeing more CGI used by them just to see how well they can incorporate it and somehow make it look great. The CGI fish looked incredible and ufotable is changing the game in terms of how they use CGI, hopefully other studios are able to take note of it and do better jobs as no one comes close to ufotable in terms of CGI usage.

Tbh it was noticeable but not bad at all. Yes ufotable are experts when it comes to blending 3d with 2d and they could have done it better but I have seen far worse from ufotable.
Also the fish looked quite creepy and disgusting in the manga as well so I guess the cgi did its job pretty well.
Also let's forget about a stupid fish and look at the important fights. They are a sight to behold.

If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

In the over all animation it's fine, but when you do have to look at it for an extended period like when Misturi is fighting the big one, it can be a it off setting. Overall though it's nothing really, your quickly forget about when you continue watching and especially at the end where Tanjiro unleashes his first proper attack of the Sun Breathing style. The fishes could have a bit more detail but it's not something I personally care for, they serve their purpose as being a spectacle to watch being slaughtered. Simple.

What can i say people will ignore 15-20 minutes of Super Fluid Character Animation and 20 minutes of super fluid Animation(as whole) of CSM , which is not easy.
But 20 second of sakuga will make ds a show with best animation.
DS S3 still has not surpass CSM 1st eps because CSM Doesn't look simple or bland for even a second, the whole episode (-) oped had so much super fluid animation whether action scenes ,talking, walking and every small details were on point But that will not make it best animation because it uses realistic colors and it also doesn't have that 20 seconds of sakuga filled with flashy colors and visual effects , just because CSM doesn't rely on flashy colors and visuals effect people won't notice it has best TV animation as WHOLE.
I don't know how does 20seconds of animation and 1 or 2 eps per season makes ds with best animation When CSM is filled with Mind Blowing Animation for Whole eps and every eps.
Who are these expert(with their less than 1% knowledge of animation) who tagged DS with best animation.
The same show(Movie) had terrible CGI in a movie with Movie level production and that was very simple to animate 'A TENTACLES' (not complicated like CSM devil design OR AOT Titans design) but they still fcked that up But DS fans who're dikriding won't take that into consideration.
