If the same hair color being the same means the characters are copied then yeah. you're right. other than hair, the characters from mash look nothing like their counterparts that you mentioned. maybe you're just seeing something different.

I expected actual copies because of your insinuation, and the reality is that they have similar haircuts or hair colors, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

yeah the hairstyles may be copied but I've read the manga their personality are different. also if it goes in the correct adaptation it's gonna be hella fun .

Nah man the blue haired one exactly looking like Kuroko. Hair colour+ facial structure also just that Kuroko has a bigger eye.

I'm so pumped for the release, but everyone is always comparing mashle to something, I'll just say what i see.

Lance as Kuroko, they seem to have similar personalities except lance is more pushy, have the same hair, but kuroko has really big eyes.
Kohaku as Lemon could never work out, never, they are really different including personality, artstyle, looks, and even hair.
Mash as Knov is a little bit of a stretch,
dot as levi, this one kind of makes sense, i don't think it's copied though, i think it's just inspired by the 'lavi style'
finn as hikaru, well, they are totally different except for the hair like everyone says.

Sorry for the long message but a lot of characters look so alike cause there are so many animes, just check ACDB for like fx. green hair brown eyes and boom.

dot really seems exactly like lavi, and personally I've always thought that lance looks like langa from skate infinity (even their names are similar) and about the rest they don't seem to me like perfect copies of the characters you mentioned, but it wouldnt be weird if the author actually took the designs from someplace else, since mashle is a shounen parody that also has lotssssss of harry potter elements straight up copied

Yeah, I see the resemblance.
Also, Dot the redhead to me reminds me of Eijiro Kirishima from My Hero Academia.
The rest of the group does have similar character designs from other anime besides what OP stated.

I did see a pretty big resemblance to Kuroko as well as every generic red head dude with the headband… maybe it’s intentional or maybe it isn’t? Haven’t met the character yet so no idea if the personality will be anything alike. Mash already has the deadpan style so I hope there’s not a second Kuroko in his friend group haha

Lets be honest how many shows actually have "Original" character design these days you can only do so many combination before they start to repeat, mix that with the amount that is being pushed out the door of late there bound to be similarities, also bare in mind i feel this show is vary much going to be a parody of other shows in its own way, no idea about source material however so don't know myself.

The only “copied” character designsI see are the facial cracks (dr. Stone) and the MC having a bowl cut (mob psycho).
