I usually don't like watching shounen, especially because of the overused "saving your loved one" or "to redeem your mistakes" trope. But, this one clearly blew my expectations away, especially with the amazing effects animation, as expected from MAPPA. 9/10

I'm not mad seems like this will be an exciting anime. Bro seems quite powerful but good to know he is not immortal. I like that this MC has a love interest instead of the usual generic anime BS that writers usually like 2 do. His wife seems like a genuine person. Bro sitting on those bodies reminded me of Madara.

The half ep look was boring but to the end was better.
Never read and pretend to watch till the end.

Sagiri was more intersting than Gabimuru not just to be oppai waifu, she looks a strong char.

The wait is finally over and I finally got to watch the first episode of Jigokuraku.

First of all, the animation was stunning, but that was to be expected given the studio behind this anime. It gave off Dororo vibes from the very beginning and the colours were beautiful.

The voice acting was spot on and the setting and characters caught my attention enough to want to watch more of it.

I like Gabimaru and it's very refreshing to see a series that isn't afraid to show the existence of romantic love and it's importance in someone's life. I hope that Gabimaru and his wife will be reunited at the end of this mess. I haven't read the manga because I wanted to wait and watch this adaptation first, however, I will be holding fists for the two of them and for Gabimaru's happiness.

I didn't like the opening song. It almost wasn't even syncronizing with the visuals. I don't understand why these type of series stopped using more energic/rockish songs for the openings the way they used to in the past but it's whatever.

I loved the ending song, however. Very emotional and touching, with spectacular visuals due to Mappa's amazing animation. Great start! I hope every episode will have this level of quality in animation & story writting.

a premiere worthy of all the respect and hype that was given, simply flawless character visuals, simply perfect scenes, GORGEOUS OP, wonderful op effects and the soundtrack simply made for the moments to perfection.

probably the best debut I've seen this year, and probably still my favorite (just enjoy it).

Great beginning; the story seems so interesting. I like the overtone of the show, and Mappa once again excels at top-tier animation.
I wish characters looked more vivid; for instance, I wish Gabimaru looked more serious and mature, with scars, and not like every generic anime character. But overall, shows like these remind me why I love anime.

Looking forward to next episode.

Liking the characters so far but because this is MAPPA and they have set a certain bar with their previous works, I'm hoping future episode fight scenes look better cause not much was particularly notable aside from Gabimaru starting up his fire ninjutsu technique which we don't even get to see as it cuts to all the enemies beaten. The opening visuals on the other hand were gorgeous.

Mappa doing a work beyond perfection as always, I'm a huge fan of ninjas and katanas so I was already sure I'd love this anime but the plot is actually interesting and looks promising as well, I might go read the manga.

the animation is kind of ok. not as much as i expected but good enough. since the manga is really good, and the anime didnt do anything that butcher it, plus, i trust mappa, i will save my complain so that i can enjoy this anime more.

Interesting twist of perspective, showing different points of views of the protagonist, at first how we were expected to think of him, as someone cold and devoid of emotions, annoyed by his wife, and then afterwards showing through the confront with the swordswoman how it was actually a whole different perspective that he was having there in his village.

i honestly didn't expect it to be this good. finally some delicious food.
living in a post naruto world where everybody thinks demon slayer is the best, it's very refreshing to see a ninja show like this.
i love it so far and will definitely be watching this.
