It's difficult to determine which anime has the "highest peak" as it can be subjective and depends on different factors such as popularity, critical acclaim, and cultural impact. However, here are some anime series that are widely considered to have reached the pinnacle of success in their respective categories:

  1. "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" - often regarded as one of the greatest anime series of all time, with a compelling story, complex characters, and a satisfying ending. It has also been praised for its animation quality, music, and world-building.
  2. "Death Note" - a psychological thriller that follows the story of a high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook that can kill anyone whose name is written in it. The series is known for its intricate plot, well-developed characters, and engaging cat-and-mouse game between the two main protagonists.
  3. "Attack on Titan" - a post-apocalyptic action series that takes place in a world where humanity is forced to live behind giant walls to protect themselves from man-eating Titans. The anime is known for its intense action scenes, complex characters, and compelling story that tackles themes such as loss, trauma, and the struggle for survival.
  4. "Your Lie in April" - a romantic drama that follows the story of a young pianist who is struggling to come to terms with the death of his mother. The series has been praised for its beautiful animation, music, and emotional depth, and is often cited as one of the best anime in the genre.
  5. "One Piece" - a long-running shonen series that follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of pirates as they search for the ultimate treasure, the One Piece. The anime has been praised for its diverse cast of characters, world-building, and emotional depth, and is one of the best-selling manga and anime franchises of all time.

Which anime for you had the "highest peak".

Wasn't there anime about some girls climbing a mountain? That would have the biggest peak in theory.

If I was to go by popularity, it's hard to leave out series like MHA and SAO, as they've been some of the most successful shows of the last decade; but if I were considering everything, I'd probably pick HxH as one anime that has reached that peak IMO. It's the only show that I can think off the top of my head that meets the criteria as nicely as the shows that you've already mentioned.

I think the anime which got the most joint popular and critical acclaim outside of stuff like Ghibli films were Yamato, the original Gundam, Evangelion, Haruhi and Madoka.

My highest peak was determined by my state of consciousness while watching Yu Yu Hakusho.
Other than that It was the over the top absurdity of Kill La Kill the emotional peaks of Hunter x Hunter.

One Piece is 25 years old and was pretty much constantly at the top of manga sales and streaming views over the years. If that's not peak then I don't know what is.

Also Your Lie in April? Seriously? At least take Toradora or Clannad if you wanna go for romance peak. Your Lie in April was so boring and predictable.

I would say Ruenhiem arc from monster was pretty solid and easily the best part of the series.
in terms of hype battle shonen stuff, i would say HxH has some pretty high peaks.

Sprited Away. I don't care what anyone else says. That movie nailed animation, novelty, music, atmosphere, damn near everything. Absolute masterpiece.

I had this to say about it from the notes in my anime list:
From start to finish this masterpiece finds it way through moments full of lively, fantastic bustling vigor and at other moments it can be so quiet, so dim and gentle that it feels like a caressing, cool summer breeze.

Gotta be Pokémon by a mile, EVERYONE watched it during Pokemania in the 90s when I was a kid. But Pokémon's a pretty unique case in terms of success as an entertainment franchise.

The biggest peak in anime is when Bocchi the Rock proceeded to Bocchi the Rock'd all over the place. Truly the anime of all time.
