I mean they were not tied at the time the clock hit 45.

in Football U get additional time for time that was not played in the usual 90 minutes. That could be cuz of injuries, slow switches of the player or players taking time of the clock on purpose

Probably because they wasted time explaining and fighting when Kuon betrayed them. Plus, think Ego just hadnt finished his popcorn yet and he wanted to enjoy the show.

Football has the concept of extra time. Almost all matches will have extra time after regular time and this is to cover up time lost in the field due to unforseen reasons like injuries, fouls or any stoppage of play.

Sometimes, extra time is not issued in either halves even though there was some stoppage of play. Not sure when and why that happens.

But extra time is a basic thing in football if you are aware about the sport.

If there is injury or other such related things, which wastes time, the Referee can add additional time. The bst way to understand something is to experience it yourself.
So, if you don't know any rules then you should Watch Fifa 2023 from today, it'll be a great experience and till the qualifiers you will understand everything.

Extra time is a rule in football
And it wasn't as highlighted in previous episodes as today's so it came as a shock to many people

bruhh they give extra time in every football match though i don't blame you for not knowing that but yeah they didn't show the extra time in any other match ( i think that's the case probably) and in this episode extra time was the thing that made them win

Yeah...soccer is weird like that. Instead of stopping the clock when the play stops, they just arbitrarily throw on whatever extra time they feel adding. I'll never understand it.

The official calculates and decides the approximate time lost in the game. It's actually easier when you call it Stoppage Time instead of Extra Time. It ranges from 2-4 mins to 8-10 mins. And in some rare cases even more.

yes by being really garbage make it very unpredictable. so its great at the end. of all the sports i feel like football has the most zebra wins.
