Should I watch the Chainsaw Man anime even though I hated the manga?

Recently the CSM anime has started airing and everyone is hyped about it. I have read all the manga and I personally didn't enjoy it that much. I currently kinda conflicted on if I should watch the anime or not because even though I didn't like the manga, a part of me thinks maybe I might enjoy the anime more since MAPPA is behind it and the anime might make the story more enjoyable for me.

What should I do?

If you didn’t like the manga then you won’t like the anime because it’s basically the same thing but in color and moving.

I'm like you, read about 50 chapters of the manga and dropped it. Figured I'd watch an episode or 2 just to see it animated, wasn't impressed don't plan on watching anymore

I am one of those who hates cgi animes.
But the CGI in Chainsaw Man was flawless 🔥🔥

that’s what i’ve been doing honestly (the manga was meh to me it’s not really peak like i thought it would be) but im willing to sit through good animation, music, and va even if it’s kinda mid to me (mappa has never let me down so i’m open to change)

No. I mean it’s gonna be an accurate adaptation, only difference is color, it actually moving, and sound. Don’t watch it if you didn’t like the manga I guess.

Go ahead and give the first epi a try. If it interests you then just keep watching and if it doesn't then you can simply drop it.

If the first episode is anything to go by then no. It's an inferior experience. We'll see how it plays out later though.

Depends on what you didn't like about the mange. If you didn't like the story or characters, then an anime adaptation isn't going to change that. If you didn't like the artwork, then maybe the anime will improve on that since it will look crisper and more fluid.

I read the manga and could barely get through it, I thought Denjis character was completely different in the manga compared to the anime, and there were a lot of good adds to the anime so I recommend the anime.

I thought the manga was pretty bland, mainly cause the plot and character development was terrible. I did however enjoy the first episode cause the action scenes and music was nice. So i'd say give it a go.

I also found the manga quite... plain, but if I watch the anime the scenes go on by themselves and I don't feel forced to manually read each page to get to a good part (don't know if I make myself clear)
Plus it's motivating that the visuals are way prettier

It depends on what you disliked about the manga. If you took issue with the art and the panelling, you might like the anime instead. But if you disliked the story and characters, then it won't be any different for you with the anime.
