No. That's like watching Naruto Shippuuden before Naruto. This is a direct sequel.

I'd suggest read the manga up till the end of Fullbring arc, manga has way better pacing.

Well, it's definitely safe as it wouldn't kill you but I'm not sure you would enjoy it as much as people who watched the previous arcs.

Honestly, this first episode is the introduction of a new arc and it doesn't majorly spoil the previous arcs endings, so if you really want to I think you can watch this episode as a appetizer and then go back to binge the OG series ASAP

Obviously no. That's like watching Gintama s4 before even completing s1.
And, going for the manga atm would be the right move imo since the pacing in the og anime is ass.

The original series pacing isn't that bad, you just need to skip the fillers

Pacing of shows like DBZ and One Piece is way worse since it doesn't have filler episodes to skip and it adapts 1 or 1.5 chapters per episode

Definitely not, if you want to catch up quick read the manga and when it gets to TYBW stop. Either that or watch the original anime and skip the filler and then watch. You’ll be spoiled for everything and be confused about everything if you decide to watch the TYBW first.

It will be safe if... you skip these follow arcs: Bounts, Captain Amagai, Zampakutous's Rebellion, Gotei 13's invasion. Everything rest you NEED to watch before Bleach:TYBW

Don’t even think about it brother .. there will be so many terms you won’t know ( for example: arrancar and gigai .. both were mentioned in episode 1 ) , many flashbacks you won’t understand , many relationship between characters you won’t get , many symbols you won’t realize ( for example: substitute soul reaper symbol and quincy symbol , both were in episode 1 ) .. and the list goes on of things that will appear foggy to you .. you must watch bleach first or just forget about it .. even a summary or recap won’t do unfortunately

You can, I didn’t finish the main series, but still enjoy it. Maybe just watch a bit to get to know the characters and world, or a recap.
I may have forgotten.

I'd say watch 61 episode of anime and then switch to manga. Read till end of Fullbring arc and then start this anime.

The first episode doesn’t have any major spoilers from the previous arcs so you can watch it, but you wouldn’t really understand what’s happening or why’s it happening since all the important information is in the previous arcs.

I'm assuming you're curious because of the ranking. Let me tell you. This show doesn't deserve anywhere near the overinflated score its having right now. All of this is due to nostalgia, stellar animation and not to forget the efforts of the bots. Don't waste your time even catching up. Go watch any other new anime premier.

Exactly... the promotional PV has almost 10 million views. It went trending... Anyone in the anime sphere should've heard about Bleach's return and caught up lol

No it's not safe. You have to do a few things. At bear minimum, watch a recap video of Bleach. YT channels like Mr.Tommo or Tekking101 will have a 40 minute recap video

2nd, watch Bleach episodes 295-296. Someone else pointed this out days ago but these episodes are lite recaps.

3rd, at least read the manga if you have some time. It's much faster to read Bleach than to watch it.

4th, check out the Bleach Celebration Music Video from Aniplex as a visual recap if you've done at least 2 of things above.

Half of bleach is filler. If you skip the filler it’s just 100+ episodes.

Yes.
It would be awful if you watched it weekly in the 2000s, but nowadays, you have the option to skip.

i had watched up to episode 170 something and stopped awhile ago. Then over the years, I just got information online threads and from the manga about the rest of the Bleachverse and unknowingly from the Bleach Brave Souls mobile game so I have a pretty good understanding of the entire story even through TYBW. In your case though, I'd say to watch the first entire "Season" of Bleach and then move on to TYBW. Skip filler of course. However, if you want to be part of the hype and everything then you have every right to start from TYBW but you will honestly have no idea why, where, and when things are happening

No.

I know it can be a bit confusing because it's being released as a separate anime, but as someone else pointed out, it's basically the same as Naruto vs. Naruto Shippuden. Separate shows, but they're both part of the same series/story. This is not a spin-off or a sequel.

This arc is not a separate entity in the manga (it's still part of the same continuous story), it's simply being adapted as such because... I don't know, marketing I guess. It's been 10 years since the anime went on hiatus so it makes sense to do it this way.

Stupid question... If you want to follow a fad/trend you will ruin the experience. You are lucky, go to those websites than tell you which episodes are filler and skip those, the episodes without them aren't that much and in no time you will catch up to the current season.

You have the option to skip it, yes, but that doesn't make the pacing not bad. In fact, having to skip parts kinda proves it's terrible. Fillers are still part of the show.
You all need to watch Nami.

That's just because the anime is a bad adaptation in general. The fillers weren't in manga, so you literally don't need them to understand the character dynamics, otherwise tha manga wouldn't work.
You all need to watch Nami.
