I like to reference like everything I've seen in my MAL, just in case, but sometimes when you show your MAL to someone, all the specials, the musics, all the quite unnecessary things are there and it's quite a mess in the list, not very readable for the visitor. I thought it would be a nice option to be able to hide all those "unnecessary titles" without deleting them from the MAL. |

| Well Idk about hiding, but you can arrange anime in your list by type(meaning tv, movie, special, ova) if you have the type column on your list. |

| Added it to one of my existing userscripts: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/169670 Since that script mostly deals with top list, the "setting" to turn on the type filter box in anime lists is on anime top list page (enable "Type filter on anime lists" from there, then a select box will show up anime lists after that). It appends the selected type to the URL of anime list when you select something from the select box, which automatically selects that type if used by someone with the script installed. Although it won't help much if you want to share the list with others, since they'd have to install the script too, which would probably be a bit of an overkill. |
